I'd followed the Gourds from early on & always thought there was a Dead vibe in there none of my friends connected with, I mean Kevin being the heartfelt Garcia, Jimmy doing the Bobby show-off, Claude doing the rocking keys (w/out dying), and all the tunes where all the musicians came together into "that sound." That sound being a unified sound of several musicians tuned in. This particular performance verifies all I'd thought about Kevin & the boys!
