Thanks for your honesty. You're the first person I've found saying you don't think it's worth it. I agree, it's like paying all over again for only a tiny fraction of the features. Maybe for a really low price it would be worth it.

Honest to be true. I like that, and thank you!

Thanks for posting this video. I was wondering what features really quantified an update of the software when browsing their site. Your review was honest and accurate to my feelings on it also. Right now the upgrade offer is $59... but honestly, I probably wouldnt use the new features. If I need headphones on to hear the difference on a single track.. what little will it matter in the mix?
I was hoping they would add more reverb types, wild modulations, etc. Some reverb designers (hardware and software) are really moving forward, and I can't say that this update is very competitive with the market... 😔

I agree that the changes they made, didn’t feel like it needed a whole new plugin (it felt more like a “dlc” for the original R) I personally have not upgraded from R to R2 and don’t feel like I need to either
Although only a few new additions, each new setting does some pretty powerful creative stuff. The auto ducking, saturation, different reverb algorithms and freeze options are definitely still fun to play with 😊

Plugin Alliance's Kirchhoff-EQ and Soundtoys Decapitator are totally heavy hitters against the Fabfilter Pro Q3 in intel & price. Plus, still more come out like Tokyo Dawn Records TDR Nova GE. A "pretty nice" run!

In you video you mention a kick and a snare. I do not hear a kick and a snare. What I hear are horrible sounding artificially created sounds which a not a kick nor snare. Good kick and snare you can get from companies like for examplle DW, Pearl, Mapex etc.
