When we are engaged in difficult circumstances and struggles, we are to be assured that someday we will dwell safely in a heavenly city that will never be destroyed. Martin Luther penned the hymn “A Mighty Fortress Is Our God,” which is based on Psalm 46 and his own experiences. Luther recognized the very real battle we face here on earth, with Satan and evil, but he also recognized the very real and triumphant God, who is with us, and with whom we will dwell for all eternity. Thanks for the teaching, Dr. G.

When we are engaged in difficult circumstances and struggles, we are to be assured that someday we will dwell safely in a heavenly city that will never be destroyed. Hallelujah! A timely reminder that earth is temporary and heaven is eternal. As long as we live on earth we live in a sin torn world and will always be waging war against Satan and evil. Thankfully, he is a defeated foe! When we come up against him we come prepared with the armor of God and prayer. (Ephesians 6:10-20)
    Be Encouraged!

Psalm 46: 9-10 Good News Bible Today's English Version. He stops wars all over the world; he breaks bows, destroys spears, and sets shields on fire. "Stop fighting," he says, "and know that I am God, supreme among the nations, supreme over the world."

The title of this video should be corrected...it is about Psalm 46, not Psalm 44.

I have the hunch that Jeremiah 17 describes the lake of fire of Revelation because there are two Jerusalems a free one, and a slavebond and Jeremiah 11 to 17 has a lot of idioms in comon with Revelation.
