You can go First Strike BORK rush against sion so you get like 200/400 gold each time you all in him so killing him doesn't matter

Iâm sion otp in master, I used to que for mid to play him bc the matchups were so much easier than toplane, but ppl would just pick something like syndra or ahri and farm tf out of me with first strike. Really op
You can do the same thing with toplane on a pick like kennen as well

BorK only has much value on kat at the very beginning of a fight anyway, could BorK plus First Strike not be a good build against a lot of champs? never done it before. Sounds like a really good combo.
When do you build ap vs ad or hybrid?
You pretty much only go AP if you are only AP on team and if enemy team is full glass cannon. Otherwise AD is better since it deals hybrid damage anyways and it's 7 times tankier.

Last night I was playing vs kata with sunderer/randuins and I thought the reason for that was because the player looked at my match history and saw I recently started playing Eclipse into full crit Pantheon with 80% wr, but now I know he must be your fan lol. Anyhow, I ditched the crit build and went full bruiser and beat his ass even though I was 0/5 at one point.
Can u say ign and region or build? I wanna see it, sounds fun.

if sion counters kata, i`ve met only the worst of sions mid. cause i win everytime in that matchup somehow
it's like galio, he doesn't necessarily counter you in lane, but he counters you in scrimmishes and outscales you.

Her AD scaling is fine it's more about absence of onhit effects on her passive, E and R and R attack speed scaling. Nashiors does fuck all for her on WR and so does BoRK. You can build sunderer against tanks still doe. But AP is just better in every facet imaginable.
I hate champs which let you swap skill for essentially calmness training. Katarina, Riven, etc. These champs should not exist for the health of the game, it's not normal to have champs who just make the game single player where only one player's performance matters in a matchup, regardless of how well the other player plays. How would you even start to make Kat fair for other players? 30 second shunpo cooldown, nerf all ability cooldowns so she can get less daggers/has to use them in a cerebral manner, make dagger dashes centre targeted and unit dashes edge to edge, and make slows slow dash/blink activations and increase dash/blink cooldowns by the % of the slow? Is Kat really just so broken by design that there's no way to fix her without making her unrecognisable to her players?
I think Kat is so hated because she's designed in such a way that a normal player playing Kat at 50% effectiveness is already capable of doing more than 90% of the champs in the game, and every point you improve beyond average makes the champs seem increasingly unfair. It's very easy to be not that good at a champ. I think Kat needs the pro play treatment, the champ has never been fair and the only difference now is that we're in a game state where tanks are broken but anti tank is available to everyone and even more broken, so now that Kat has got access to tank countering items, she's gone from no counter play but can't do anything to tanks who navigate lane well, to no counter play at all.

It's not kata that's broken; it's more of the items she's allowed to build. Take away her onhit scaling on her abilities, and kata will go back to the way she always was.
Its funny you mention "the pro play treatment" when kat's never ever picked in pro play because of how bad she is against people who know how to counter her, even more so with a coordinated team. But yeah, I agree with the other reply, they should just remove the onhit stuff from her and make her focus on ap again, not ad bruiser items.

@@RonanErudon1305 no, she's not picked in pro play because she's not good against extremely high level coordination, from draft to gameplay, and low levels of experimentation, to the point they won't even try to play potentially good champs most of the time, none of which exists in solo queue. She needs the pro play treatment, for solo queue. A champ balanced for only people *fundamentally* good enough to play her, because balancing her as she is has created a champ who is arguably the most hated champ in the game, legendary for being a faceroller disguised as a micro genius champion.

Itâs like in StarCraft. The human mind slows down and your reaction speed slows down if thereâs nothing going on. But if you keep clicking buttons. Again referencing StarCraft. They spam all their hot keys because it helps their brain remember where their buttons are, builds muscles memory, and it keeps reaction speed up. Thatâs why Katevolved gets Quadraâs so often. Dudes reaction speed is cracked. They call that âmechanicsâ in league. But really itâs those three factors. Because it doesnât take a lot of mechanical talent to pilot 4 buttons in a video game. Like it would piloting a 15 hot key army in StarCraft.
