Love to see what's going on in my hometown!
Excellent video and production, very much enjoyed the ride, hope to get up that way some day, 5*

.
I've been on this road in the 70's visiting my sister in Sheboygan :)
And Green Bay for skiing !!!
.
I like the way you made the sign inserts.
That's really cool.
I currently live in Peoria, IL (although I hope I am able to move back up to Minneapolis very soon), but Chicago is only a 2 1/2 hour drive from here. I noticed you mentioned in the video that Chicago is the next victim in your time-lapse awesomeness. Can't wait to see it.
Great video! Seems that the Marquette Interchange was a HUGE engineering job for Milwaukee.
The Interchange of I-43, I-894, and I-94 has been changed to include 2 tunnels, and the exit directions have changed as well.
I love the videos of the ride tour through my Former Hometown. Been in Phoenix. , Arizona for approximately 28 years now And I definitely miss Milwaukee ; but Not During the Winters
I exited Locust street many a times. From there you can go downtown,, and the east side which I really like. Live in North Carolina now. I miss Wisconsin except for the cold.
I43 north to Milwaukee via Marquette interchange
...thru the heart of of cities, effectively dividing them apart. I've always been mixed on urban freeways (sometimes in favor, sometimes against). But if you're going to have a freeway in a dense urban environment, you might as well design one to look as pleasing as I-43 is, thru the Marquette. Thanks for posting this video!
1:13... They wanted I-43 to go to Duluth/Superior... but ultimately decided it better to go west on 94 towards Madison and Eau Claire, and then go up US53 for those cities.
The only parts of the highway that still looks relatively similar to this video (in 2020) is about ...Once u hit north ave going north all the way through Glendale near silver spring. They redid that area too even past Goodhope and brown deer exits, but it still looks the same mainly.
@eluko79 Thanks for the info and the link - keep up the good work!
@jonboi525: Adding to what Eluko79 mentioned about I-43 being the 5th longest intrastate, I-87 in New York State is the longest intrastate in the country, at a little over 333 miles. I believe I-45 in Texas is the 2nd longest intrastate, at about 285 miles, but I'm trying to recite this from memory.
I-43 is busy interstate in wiscosin can people travel on tbe road.
Gran Video
Love the editing that went into this video! How did you create those exit signs??
What exactly are they doing at the I-43/I-94 interchange, at the very beginning of the video?
The planning and design that went into the reconstruction of the Marquette interchange is striking. Not only does it seem like it's a much better and more intuitive interchange to navigate now, but it's architecturally much more pleasing to the eye now. Some people hate how the U.S. has built so many freeways...
Excellent! I've only been to Milwaukee once - and it was on I-43! Thanks for the memories.....and as others have pointed out, you select some of the best music music for your videos - mind if I ask what this one was?
@FreewayBrent I think the 3rd would be I-49 which is about 210 miles and then I-96 which is a hare longer.
Awesome video, perfect filming conditions, complemented with some of the best highway video editing style I've seen on CZcams! :-) Big thumbs up.
I guess Im pretty randomly asking but does anyone know a good place to watch new tv shows online ?
@Brodie Onyx definitely, have been using FlixZone for since march myself =)
@Brodie Onyx thank you, signed up and it seems like they got a lot of movies there =) I really appreciate it!!
Mark this as an old school video of the Mitchell Interchange. Nice! It's been totally reconfigured. Also, What editing software do you use???
I thought Chris Lokken's Youngstown Trip Day 1 Part 4 was more historic. (That video had the Mitchell Interchange before it was reconstructed)
Should've gotten off on north Ave and turned left(west) lol
Umph, well.... UB
I grew up on the south side in BayView between Holt ave and National ave and this brought back so many memories
