    Have one just like it and has never had to 'warm up' and never made that noise. You have a problem that might get you seriously hurt!

    Great review. I purchased and used an exact unit but different manufacturer heater cooker for a few years. It lasted until the welds gave. I recently replaced it with this exact unit. Hopefully its built better.

      You can find regulators of the same type from Coleman.

    I havr this one with a full 20lb tank. Any idea how long they last on 20lb?

      Box says it runs 2 hrs on low 10000 btu. A bbq tank has approximately 15 lbs in it. So about 30 hrs.

      Depends on how long you leave it on???

      @@mikecagle984 lol. My question is basically how long will it last in total. Obviously if you run it once a day for 3 minutes it might last a year.

    My almost new Mr. heater/cooker stopped working. I don't know what the problem is. It was secreting what looked like water and creosote and smoking badly. I took what I could apart, cleaned it and it worked great for a couple of days, no smoke. Now I get no sound of gas coming out. I've tried 3 sources of gas, but nothing. Seems a lot of trouble for something I've only used 20 times in a fairly clean shop. Have you noticed this to be a common problem, or do I just have a lemon.

      +Mark Mullen sounds like you have a lemon. maybe the supply hose is like deteriorating at a rapid rate or something.

      ***** Thanks for the reply. I just took it all apart again, sprayed some brake parts cleaner through all the holes and now it is working again. Maybe there is some manufacturing debris working it's way over the holes. I love the heater. I was thinking I needed a pressure regulator when I was getting the black smoke and wet creosote.

    Where'd you get that hose? I don't wanna use the the small bottle of propane and would rather use the big one

      where ever you bought your heater should have it. or possibly your local hardware store. i believe its a universal hose for BBQ' and whatnot

    I'm going to be living in my car in colorado. I got this heater cooker for when my hobo heater (candle heater) isnt good enough. I know to crack the window for oxygen and I'm going to have fire alarms in the trunk and inside the car. but when you said its not a personal heater it scared me. the guy at the store said it should work ok. of course i dont know how much to trust a sales associate at a big box store with ears gauged so big he looks like dumbo. Im planning on only running it for a short period then turning it off and going to sleep. anybody see any problems with my plan? also worst case scenario like a blizzard I can just go to a hotel but holy crap are hotels, rent, etc. over priced in Colorado.

      +Jake Hartman that heater is a little big for just a car you might look for something alot smaller and something that goes on a small disposable tank

    • @1412497129489rr
      @1412497129489rr Před 9 lety

      this one does use disposable small tanks. or at least the box shows it that way and so do other videos on youtube.
