How to Make a Gingerbread RV / Motorhome

- Why make a traditional gingerbread house? Try a house on wheels! My gingerbread motorhome is decorated for Christmas in the desert. I watch many CZcams RVers that live full time in their rigs and travel the world.
To make this motorhome you will need a template. The old fashioned square shaped motorhomes from the 70-80's are best. Find a simplified template/illustration from a google search or use the one on this website: www.instructables.com/id/Brea... This one is nice and simple.
I printed out the template and cut it in half. I then enlarged the template 145% on my printer.
Dimensions of pieces I used:
Motor home sides (1 left and one right, one of these will have no door)
Side panels are 15" long at it's longest point and 5" tall (excluding wheels)
Front bumper 5" x 2" rectangle
Windshield piece: 5" x 4" rectangle
Rear bumper: 5" x 1 3/4" rectangle
Rear panel: 5" x 3" rectangle
Roof: 5" x 11.5 " rectangle
Floor: 5" x 13.5" rectangle
Door: 4" x 1.5 " corners rounded
Air conditioners: 2- 2"x2" rectangles
2- 2"x 1.75"
(smaller rectangle stacked on top of larger square)
I used on batch of gingerbread dough from this video: • Gingerbread Log Cabin ...
Royale frosting:
2 lbs powdered sugar
1 cup egg whites (I used pasteurized egg white in a carton from the grocery store)
1 tsp cream of tartar
Blend the above ingredients with a mixer, slowly at first and then whip at high speed 7-10 minutes until stiff peaks form. This frosting crusts and dries very quickly, keep covered when not in use.

Thank you! I like to use jolly hard candies- freeze them and then crush them with a hammer to create stained glass windows - we live in an RV in the Q so next time add one last thing - rocks and an umbrella you should vac here - you’d love it!

Here's a tip, for the next gingerbread project, use candy melts for putting it together, then use royal icing on the inside for reinforcement. It helped me a lot on my second gingerbread house and I avoided the use of multiple cans.
