Sounds like a gorgeous performance -- I think. Very poorly mic'd and mixed -- way too heavy on the ambient reverb, and too hard to pick out the original voices and instruments. Recording engineering is at least as much art as science (and probably much more so) -- and this right here was an apprentice effort, not even a journeyman (let alone master). Listen to any recording on the Hyperion label and hear how it's done.
