Everybody's easiest theory is that the Fallen Swordmaster got revived by the Void Reaver, but how about we do a bit more theorizing?

My theory is The Swordmaster escaped The SFOTH but within his army because he want to kill Gladiator himself but he acidently found The God Cube and he was interested to the God Cube and walked into The God Cube but because of strong forces and very big amount of power in The God Cube make the Swordmaster skin change and become Fallen Swordmaster but he still have his mind but now he become way more aggresive so he keep searching gladiator and he acidently meet void reaver and void reaver interested to Fallen Swordmaster so he recruit Fallen Swordmaster

Not to be biased or anything, but it wouldnt make sense if the Fallen Swordmaster acquired the God Cube, as he looks similar to the Void Reaver and Fallen King (and dont forget the small fallen enemies like Fallen Titan). Those guys are in the so called "Void Army", which really fits them as they're all darkly colored. If the Fallen Swordmaster did infact acquire the God Cube, we'd be seeing him in a comeback just like Krampus did with his army.

more evidence: a CZcamsr highlighted the number 47 twice, once in his video, once in the thumbnail
secondly, you 80% of the time get a 47 yard gain in football fusion
third, in a disney movie, a character says "he looks 10, but is secretly 47"
fourth, THIS VIDEO HAS THE OPPOSITE OF 47 views -- 7.4K
fifth, 1947 was when the U.S Air Force was made. Has nothing to do with how its common, but just pretend it does.
sixth, the next president after joe IS THE 47TH PRESIDENT

"Fallen Swordmaster isn't willing"
Not me getting gitty because I have an entire headcanon about this one premise that would make many players leave the fandom (partially including me, somehow) if it were canon.
(Basically, Fallen Curse. There is this virus going around called, well, the Fallen Curse. Upon the Curse reaching 100%, uh oh, you're now in a hivemind! The Fallen Curse is sentient to break your will until that previously mentioned downside happens. Pretty much EVERY Fallen Enemy (with some exceptions, Fallen Swordmaster included) has become part of the hivemind. (Optional Bonus - Fallen Swordmaster runs the Gem Shop partially to make up for what he does under the Curse, and partially as an excuse to be a silly little goober (He basically acts like Mo from Undertale Yellow when running the shop). (Optional Bonus 2 - Krampus is immune to the Fallen Curse because he's even more evil than it is, lol.)))

you just gave me a idea for a event for the sword master your theory was good btw so anyways to the event, so ya know fallen sword master right? why not make a event for him he would be the fallen sword master at wave 40 BUT there's gonna be a addition 10+ waves I haven's seen a tds event have 50 waves so why not make this one have 50 waves anyways it would be the REAL sword master on wave 50 he will have a new sword around 800k hp he has alot more attacks to use and a rage mode at 400k hp i dont have alot more so thats all for now everyone else can add stuff to this anyways im gonna go die cya

tbh there is a lot in hardcore to unpack, like why are the enemies, a lot of the enemies purple and have the same color scheme as eachother? or why is there a lot of enemies from fallen mode itself? the Fallen Swordmaster could be forced to fight like you said, a lot of the enemies in hardcore like Gravedigger, Molten boss, and Fallen king have gained an evolved enemy for themselves, like gravedigger being mega slows and reapers, molten boss being Lavas, Fallen king could be fallen titans and vindicators. however Fallen Swordmaster does not have one not even an enemy that was in it's event it is an interesting point. however i myself have another theory about hardcore, this might be coincidence but every event after hardcore seems to be a lot more magical in a way, halloween 2020 had the narrator which meant that Lord Exo was created after hardcore, since the narrator later turned out to be an enemy in lunar overture, frost and solar eclipse events as well, and many more till now all had a significant part to play in the story, i'm guessing whenever the door to hardcore opened a lot of new things occured in the TDS world, one could be being the birth of Lord Exo.

Hm.. I'm not sure if hardcore did infact bring Lord Exo to life, but it would make sense as Lord Exo is purple, just like the whole color scheme of hardcore.. good thinking.

Here’s a thing I always wondered why are the new fallen enemies in hard-core not bluish button instead purpleish I don’t know why but they are they should be bluish not purpleish they should be called void [Blank] not fallen [Blank] because they don’t fit with the rest of the fallen enemies [Like The fallen king]

Breakers are made of hard glass

A bit more than hard glass, they're resistant to bullets after multiple shots from level 3 golden scout or golden minigunner. Accelerators even struggle sometimes, so it is something else than hard glass for sure.
