- As luck would have it, a youtuber named "Fergufool" had uploaded almost all of the mouth organ winners in 1080p as seperate videos. I couldn't thank him enough. SHE (not he) made this compilation possible and great.
Also, huge thanks to whoever wrote a wikipedia page about The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson. Wherein there lied a list in chronological order of the golden mouth organ winners, including civilians. Tremendously grateful for that list.
I'm pretty sure these are all the winners as I found two independent lists and both included the same number of winners. Hope I'm right. I know many of you have suggested this. Sorry you had to wait, but it was probably worth it, here its! Enjoy please! - Komedie
Everyone plays Oh Susanna!
That's cause in mouth organ school that's the first thing they teach
It's is in the public domain so they don't have to pay anyone for it.
sweiland75. Not Kevin Bacon though: Love me do - The Beatles 🎶
Indomitable T or Larry Scotsman Johnson who played the William Tell overture
Eric Idle blew that organ away!
Does anyone else live with the depressing reality of having no one in their life to share the greatness of Craig with ? I feel like I’m surrounded by lifeless drones.
Yup. I blame tech
Its okay man, we're here with you.
Omg yeah. Its like finding out someone doesn’t like dogs
#Ditto 😔
I have loved Craig since the Drew Carey show.....and I didn't even know who Craig was at that time. Then he got his own late night talk show and I said "It's that guy !"
Four tiers of playing the mouth organ:
1. Can't play
2. Can't play, but adorable
3. Can play Oh Susanna!
4. Can play with effects and feel
and steven tyler who actually plays it
There's a 0 tier that I'm part of:
Can't fuckin' play, won't try, and gets herpes anyway.
@@vakar9779 Eric Idle was also pretty as was Kevin Bacon.
5. Can play like a God - ie Buddy Greene at Carnegie Hall
"You're not feeding that thing properly." Even for the brief little bit he was in at the beginning, Billy Connolly kills me every time.
Billy killed anywhere he went. Truly hilarious dude. RIP.
@@zlinedavid you gave me a heart attack sir, he’s still alive
@@spamspum928
Bullshit. I watched him die on Muppet Treasure Island. Those pirates gave him the black spot and his heart just gave out. Man's been dead for decades now.
@@austinmabry8462 "Beware lads! Beware." "What, the one-legged man?" "Aye, but also beware runnin' with scissors or any other pointy object. It's all good fun, until somebody loses an- AHHHHH!!!!!!"
@@zlinedavid They've been showing old Head of the Class re-runs on one of the Rewind TV stations. While I loved Howard Hessman, Billy brought a different humor, a more easily shared humor. He always seemed like a great dude. By that I meant on the show. Billy was one of the "replacements" that was as good. IMO.
Steven Tyler: *blows mouth organ for decades on albums and on the road*
Also Steven Tyler: *plays Oh Susanna*
So disappointing
Copyrighta
I was hoping for Train Kept a Rollin.
He did it one handed though
As soon as I seen Steven Tyler, I said yeah he can play, then he too played Oh Susanna, and I was really disappointed.
I miss this show. Reruns of this would be better than James Corden.
You have all Ferguson here. Let the TV fools watch their crap TV.
but sure would be nice to have new ones :(
i do not like james or carson daley
James Corden sucks
Terminal cancer of the anus is better than James Corden.
0:10 Billy Connolly (Oh Susanna)
2:11 David Pogue (Ode to Joy)
3:39 Jennifer Quellette (Home! Sweet Home!)
5:49 Hugh Laurie (Oh Susanna)
7:59 Neil Patrick Harris (Dunno)
10:44 Larry Scotsman Johnson (William Tell Overture)
14:25 Kevin Bacon (Love Me Do)
16:44 Zooey Deschanel (...)
19:09 Jim Cummings (Dunno)
20:36 John Goodman (O Susanna/?)
22:29 Jayma Mays (Dunno)
24:20 William H. Macy (O Susanna)
25:58 Ewan McGregor (O Susanna)
26:52 Wilford Brimley (O Susanna)
28:22 Eric Idle (Pick a Ball of Cotton)
30:29 Dr. Mehmet Oz (O Susanna)
32:09 Phil Plat (Ode to Joy)
33:45 Steven Tyler (O Susanna)
35:46 Andy Garcia (Dunno)
37:07 David Robinson (Rock and Roll Music)
38:59 Adam Savage (Piano Man)
40:35 Woody from Toy Story (Boy Scout PSA theme?)
Enderschoice for Kevin bacon that's "love me do" by the Beatles
dror shalom thanks! Edited.
I was disappointed John Goodman didn't play the Roseanne theme. :\
Jennifer Ouellette played Home! Sweet Home! ( czcams.com/video/OqjjfF1Wn-s/video.html ) by Henry Bishop and John Howard Payne. David Robinson is playing Rock and Roll Music (sounds like the Beatles version czcams.com/video/IRF6nmqcbxo/video.html ). Tom Hanks is talking about this PSA: czcams.com/video/pKYUaRV51IU/video.html
Much appreciated
So oh susana is harmonica equivalent of smoke on the water for guitar..
Or Für Elise on the piano.
Oh Susana is the Harmonica equivalent of Come as you are for Guitar. xD
Or Stairway to Heaven.
Just saying: Wayne’s World didn’t do a joke about Smoke on the Water!
I thought that was Peter Gunn.
Or Tom Sawyer on the drums.
Fair play to Kevin Bacon and Eric Idle for playing tricky tunes that weren't the same as the others, lol
I got real tired of hearing oh suzanna over and over
I was surprised steven Tyler couldn't play anything else
@@Bowiiihowdy Man, when Kevin Bacon was playing I was thinking "He seems to know what he is doing but it just doesn't sound right" then he asks to use Craig's and you immediately realize the one he was given was not very good and he can really play. Plus he played Love Me Do, which is a great song.
The nice surprise was Adam Savage doin that too w/ Piano Man.
Love me do is exactly what I would’ve played if I did mouth organ with Craig.
As someone who actually play the harmonica, I am jealous of the guests getting that wonderful chromatic harmonica. It is a nice one.
what's the official model/specs?
@@leemp337 it looks like it is a 12 holes Hohner chromatic harmonica. Unfortunately, I can’t get more specific.
@@louisjutras1 thx
Looks like the Hohner Super Chomonica@@leemp337
Was wondering the same thing
I was in the audience when Eric Idle won. I really miss this show.
I think he was the best by far.
37:11 I just love the way Craig facial expression completely changes when this guy tells him he plays the harmonica in his band. xD
I didn't really pay attention to that, but i went back and watched it a few times and his face actually almost morphed! His hair even moved!!!
29:36 Craig's genuinely impressed and it's so heartwarming. He actually enjoys hanging out with his guests. Miss him.
And so many of them end up being surprised and disappointed that their time is over, its the coolest thing I have seen on any talk show
What's the name of the song he played on Harmonics?
@@metalmonkey6262 Probably the best date any of them have been on for long time. Becoming giddy and excited at the back and forth between them. More over he often sets them up to have easy comedic dunks to help them come off as being even wittier than they normally would be.
Awesome isn't it!!! I'm happy that you wrote that!!!!⁉️❗❗❗❗❗🎉🎉🎉
Now, I'm not disparaging anyone else's performance... but Wilford Brimley did it with one hand while also holding his hat. BONUS POINTS!
He looked like one who could play it in his sleep
But, to be fair, Wilford Brimley is Wilford F*cking Brimley.
...and he played it despite the damn "Diabetus"
If you've ever pinched your cowboy mustache in your harmonica it's not fun.
I love that Craig seems genuinely excited to give the prize when one of the old school guys (Connolly, Idle, Wilford, etc) can play. I think those are guys he genuinely likes and respects and he gets excited to give them something.
The majority play “Oh Susanna”, or some other basic song...but Kevin Bacon breaks out “Love Me Do” by the Beatles. Nicely done.
I've watched tons of these shows but never once saw Craig hand out a Golden mouth organ. Now I find there was 22 of them? Wow! Great compilation. Thanks so much.
Yeah I'm the same way. This is the first time I've ever heard of the golden mouth organ.
I love how the guy that brings the Golden Mouth Organ has the SAME clothes, everytime!
Yes, but he does manage to change race somehow
Legend has it he is the eternal keeper of the golden mouth organ who takes on a human form only when he emerges with the Golden Mouth Organ out of the secret cave that lies behind Craig's green-room. #unknown_mysteries #eternal_keeper #the_vault #golden_mouth_organs #brrr
Kanye??
@@MunkeyDong Human race and... ?
I love that Craig added the heavenly music that comes along with the bestowing of the golden mouth organ.
Does anyone know what the song is?
I miss this fucking show. Who else brings out audience members like this?
you mean you miss the host, the show is still going
no one baby. many attempts, but none succeed like my craigyferg.
Is it just me or Craig was trying to hide getting emotional with Larry “the audience member “at the very end? 😃
“Take that Dancing With The Stars” ❤️
@@kacperczachor :)
@@NonsensicalSpudz this is not the same show without Craig.
when im bored craig never fails to make me smile....
I love that he spent so much money of his budget on nice instruments
Kevin Bacon's was the best it was like Craig wasn't on board 100% but then Kevin used Craig's quality harmonica and proved everyone wrong
I feel like Zooey Deschanel's "win" cheapened the whole thing.
True her playing was not great, but she is so damn cute
Well to be honest if he didn't give it to her it would have been really awkward
Adding a "y" to the name Zoe makes her kinda nauseating. But, whoever floats your boat won't sink your ship.
She was better than Tom Hanks.
Expert class in How to be a "Karen" @ 16:44, also note her face right after he says "we're out of time"🤣
Hello future history scholars. Welcome to one of humanity's highlights
I hope everyone who won the Golden mouth Organ really treasures it!
Most, especially Larry, Scotsman Johnson!
He's my grandfather, unfortunately he passed Sunday before last.
@@cantsay2205 I just re-watched the Late Late show now after I saw your comment. Your grandfather was adorable! And I live in San Diego myself, so it was especially fun to listen to him and Craig joking back-and-forth!
I’m so sorry for your loss! May you always treasure all the special moments you had with him!
@@marybarry2230 I always will! 💕
@@cantsay2205 oh, one other thing…….
Was his middle name really Scotsman??!!
@@marybarry2230 no, his last name is Roy lol, he was joking around.
Theres one guy running around in hollywood teaching all these celebrities the same damn song. Thats how you know theyre all going to the same parties
Best line ever on two and a half men. Steven Tyler tells Charlie "people pay a lot of money to hear me play the harmonica". Charlies response - "No, they pay money to hear you sing. They tolerate the harmonica". Cracked me up.
I love how the ceremonial handover of the golden mouth organ gets more hallowed and revered with every passing winner.
A big thanks to you The Jay Leno Fly for putting these compilations together. From the quick intro's, the clips in chronological order, to the outro with Dana and hearing Pacific Sun, I feel you are becoming THE place to go to find and watch Craig videos. I also appreciate the unique mixes found nowhere else. Miss the show. Keep up the great work.
This is a great comment, thanks man! It's ironic, you talk about how you like the uniqueness of my channel and at you do it with a unique comment, u see what I mean? Appreciate the support! and happy you found here man:D!
Ive known this channel for years, even if its gone dark as of late, and it still keeps making me smile. Thanks you sincerely JLF
I love how everyone is so shocked that the golden harmonica is an actual thing! Oh its a real nice one!
To see the comedic-joy displayed by EVERY person here just brings tears and wishing that we could have had a bit more of Craig on this show. BOY did CBS make a mistake letting him go!
I came for the mouth organ, I stayed for the enthusiasm of the mouth organ bearer
So true!😄
"you get in there, suck and blow and if you do it right you get a prize?" Now that's a line from a real Late Night Talk Show :)
I totally missed this entire show when it aired. I really don't like TV. But, this guy, Craig Ferguson is really different. I just bought one of his books and I'm getting through the "Anne" chapter. Craig is extremely talented. Very personable. Women just melt in his presence. I'm sorry to say that I missed out on the show while it was running. This channel has allowed me to catch up to what this genius did on TV. Dude, thanks so much for sharing and these video's are a lasting testament to a really funny, extremely original late night talk show. Thanks Craig.
Wilford Brimley is CLASSIC TV! An awesome moment when Craig's eyes light up.
That was an awesome compilation! I love how so many recipients were genuinely appreciative of the award, too!
I love this channel so much. Thank you for all the hard work you are putting in, I promise it does not go unnoticed.
Its 2022 and I still come back to this video..such a good show...
Thank goodness for CZcams! (And Jayleno Fly 😄) Craig H is THE BEST Late Night Host. No comparisons. Great wit, humour, spontaneity, banter and pure fun with his guests. The world needs it back so badly. 👍😎🎸🇳🇿🍺🍺💥
Thanks for this. Craig had such a great mix of returning bits that never got old!
My favorite is John Goodman. I saw it first in a full episode video. John is an amazing guest, always embodying the spirit of the show, but without being unnatural, premeditatedly silly as many of the guests do. Love him, so talented artist. Thanks for the video, an awesome job! 🤯
Of the non-musicians, I think Ewan probably had the best control, but this compilation was awesome. Nice to hear a different tune from Eric Idle, haha!
I knew of this show but never watched. I can’t get enough of it now, sucks that it’s not longer on.
Great idea for a compilation.
I agree. You guys suggested it, wasn't my idea originally.
WTF (WHO..) DISLIKE THIS CLIP ??? 10 dislikes...quoting genius: what da hell men ?
Great job J Fly , I love this show and your work
I didn't know about the Golden Organ until today. 1/30/18 How is it the ONLY TRUE entertaining talk show host isn't still keeping us entertained?
Learned how to play a few tunes on harmonica a number of years back, this inspires me to pick it back up again
I love that he made Hugh Laurie hold the glass cover of the golden mouth organ...so the show closes on Craig Ferguson holding a red velvet pillow, and Hugh Laurie holding a glass cover and a golden mouth organ. What a show. 😂
I deeply appreciate these entertaining flashbacks! Thanks for your awesome CZcams channel.
Eric Idle made me laugh so hard when he just took the case and started to blow on it.
Makes it better that he actually could play it, and play it probably as well as anyone did.
Very Monty Python-esque.
I would have been disappointed if hugh Laurie hadn't won
I always found it funny that so many people are surprised they were given an unwrapped mouth organ.
I actually wanted this compilation a while back and looked up separate videos (which were low res and I couldn't find all of them) but you came to my rescue! Thanks Jay Leno Fly!!
Happy to be the one! :D Enjoy!
brilliant! I was just thinking the other day that this would be a cool compilation to do and here we are! You're ahead of the game my friend, awesome job! Really appreciate all the work you put into this, it can't be easy! :)
I'd happily take credit if credit was due. But, it was mainly folks like yourself that thought of it and suggested it, so thanks to you guys! Anytime man!
+The JayLeno Fly you're to humble
Love this channel @The Jayleno fly ...Thank you for helping us plebs relive some solid funny late night tv..
Love that you post these.
On a bad day I can come here and remember when we used to be able to laugh at life.
Thank you so much for this.
Of all of the vids, I have to say I really enjoyed this. Billy Connolly and Eric Idle ...brilliant.
Great job on the videos just keep them coming!
Thanks bro, will do!
I agree! ! Wonderful job you are doing JLF!!
I lost interest in all late night talk shows and stopped watching, now seeing clips of Craig on YT is missed out on a true gem. Damn.
I am enjoying this even more than I thought I would!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Jayleno Fly ..thank you for all your great posts
Thanks for ruining my workplace productivity day over day! Keep it up!!!
You're very welcome ;), will do as long as you guys keep showing up:D
Great fun! Thank-you!
This is so awesome, I've been wanting to watch these!!!!
and now you have :D
Jaylenofly you deserve a golden mouth organ for this upload
Love it! Thank you
Bless his heart he couldn't break hers!
Besides Zooey's a legit musician. U can probably see the ep where she played but didn't get it & judge better for yourself.
Damn, this was a great compilation.
Thank you .Glad you did this .great job.Love it.
Absolutely stellar, man! Loved it!! Always liked that bit. And it shows how the man just made up stuff as he went along and never rehearsed for shit. In 22 tries he couldn't land on a set way to do it :D:D
Phil Plat: Are you a psychic
Craig: I knew you would ask me that ...
No current late night show host is this witty!
Aaaaand now I have Oh Susanna stuck in my head.
Thanks for the compilation.
Awesome video! Thanks for all your work. I was thinking the other day that maybe a good idea for a video would be a compilation of Craig totally losing it, you know those times when he completely bursts out in laughter. Ive seen a few videos here and there about it, none with the quality of your videos. Just an idea!
It's a good idea. I'll consider it strongly. Thanks!
You sir are doing a great job posting this videos
Thank you good sir! Glad you like em!
Great compiation, just what I wanted. Thanks mate
Glad u liked it bro!:D
I need to find mine that I used to have or either get a new one.If i ever had the chance to go and be like Larry I would've played his intro theme and probably would've cried if I got the Golden Mouth Organ.I grew up watching this show as a kid and looking back on the show now and these clips ,this is really where my sense of humor and love of comedy came from.I never realized how much of an influence he was on me and I'm grateful for it.I wish I kept up with him in recent years but I went through a rough patch and almost totally forgot about him till I thought of Alice Cooper and it all came flooding back.If I ever got the chance to meet him I'd just thank him from the bottom of my heart.
I've dreamed of being on Craig Ferguson's show and winning the golden harmonica.
I want someone to be proud of me like Craig is at 29:39. That face is giving me life.
His looks of genuine wonder and delight when someone's really good are really moving.
Again awesome !!
Thanks bro!:D
This made me want to watch NPH's compilation. His disappointment over it ending and not getting to dance with secretariat won me over.
Craig's Expression at 29:38 Is soo funny! He's like a kid on Christmas morning! LOL!
It's neat how Hugh immediately knew that was not a good harmonica but still made it work haha
Great Job Mr. Fly!
Thank you bro!
A surprisingly large amount of Hollywood types apparently got their start playing harmonica is the deep south.
Ferguson = Funny Thanks for sharing. Great compilations.
Nice compilation
Kevin Bacon is now offering his course on "The Subtle Art of Sandbagging".
Craig is SO HILARIOUS!! And "Ode to Joy" is fab on the harmonica!!
Just awesome!
"Is that...a restaurant?"
I like how bacon was palying his new one like "this hasnt been broken in yet let me try yours"
Never knew there were so many winners! Thanks for this.
Fergufool is a "her" btw :)
Sure thing!
I FEEL SUCH A FOOOOOOOL! Thanks for that, I'll correct it. Man, I like you.
Didn't expect Beethoven's "Ode to Joy" from David Pogue. Nice change!
Thanks so much for doing these. The more I miss this guy the more videos you make. Great work!
You're welcome to enjoy em! Thank you! I should say, while you're here. In 1-2 hours from now my compilation of the musical cold openings will be up. It's very entertaining, I'm sure you will like it. Stay alert:D
Glad to see the original Bringer of the Golden Mouth Organ got promoted around 2011. But it's not the same without him.
I love how Jayma won it. "That was beautiful!"
And the double mouth organ ( better known ad the poppa smurf) will never be the same.
