What is Polygamy in Igbo - Culture?
The Igbo practice polygamy, meaning that many Igbo men have more than one wife. If a man is successful, he can have as many wives as he′s able to support. He must provide each wife with a way to make a living, such as providing a plot of land to farm on.

Polygamous marriage was allowed by God in the ancient times not today, and besides it's evil to practice it today in a very poor country like N igeria. A man is not able to care for himself, how much more a wife and children that came out of that union.
