Wonderful video showing a bygone era of magnificent and magical steam locomotives. I crossed India in 1975 on route from Europe back to Australia. I remember taking many trains and feeling the wonderful essence of life around the stations and locomotives. Has India preserved any steam locomotives at all or has every single one of them been scrapped? That would be a huge pity.
Indeed , yes sir India has preserved few steam locomotives for special heritage trains mostly narrow and meter gauges. If you are a train watcher, you must visit India and ride the Nilgiri mountain railways and Darjeeling Himalayan railway, also the special train the Orient express. I hope you will enjoy it. Cheers
Ding ding! I'm a tram and I approve this video! Great footage!
