I feel like I gained so much understanding in this video! I always wondered why my body looks so weird when I gain weight, and then you described it so well. Also for some reason I always loved wearing things that have that Yang pop but I just never tied it to my body type I just felt like it made me look more powerful/put together.

Ah!! I love that most of your references street style looks are of Miroslava Duma. She CAN dress! Been obsessed with her style for the last decade or more. Recently discovered Kibbe and I definitely identity with the gamine “essence”, so it makes sense ;) I feel like I have elements of a flamboyant gamine but also dramatic classic. Learning a lot from your awesome videos, thanks for the great work! :)

THANK YOU!! I’m FG. But I deviate from your description in that my torso is very long. Arms also very long. (In comparison to my legs). I balance these long things (and relatively shorter legs) with fitted short tops and high waisted floor length wide leg pants and rounded platforms. It sounds like my bottom half looks like what a clown would wear but I look “normal” with this style 😅

I am absolutely a pure gamine, doesn't matter if he removed it from his system. I fit this description so well. I look softer than a FG but sharper than a SG. The clothing line recommendations for pure gamine are so accurate too, which I can say with confidence through pure trial and error.

When I was first introduced to Kibbe I thought I was some kind of gamine at first because I'm very baby faced, I'm 32 but look 16 😬. Actually I'm a Soft Natural, I don't have any gamine slightness at all. But I like the Gamine family, especially in the Flamboyant version, and they can rock a lot of cool alt fashions. Gamine women tend to be very expressive. I have noticed that Gamine/Flamboyant Gamine is also a somewhat common type in Italy, in women and men as well (first example off my mind: Lady Gaga). It's what I'd call a 'mercurial' type.

I love some of the necklines mentioned at the end of the video like banded, mandarin, Nehru, etc., but they can be hard to find in the US and available options very rarely fit gamine lines otherwise. For example, a lot of the blouses/tunics are oversized, flowy, and have puffed sleeves. Basically the opposite of my FG lines. Has anyone found a solution to this or know where to find gamine-friendly shirts with these necklines? Closest I can find are mock necks but they can get a bit boring.

I’m definitely more of a soft gamine. Face is very round, but skeleton is sharp. Arms and legs are long. The only thing that feels different from your description is that my shoulders are a little broader than most gamines.

I’m trying to solve my case. I look like a gamine, but feminine. Kibbe says it means Soft gamine. But! By the test Im close to theatrical romantic… I’m confused… I look really good in big oriental earrings, in a simple long dress I look lite, but any time I try to cut my body to blocks I look fat! But I’m thin… Often in a classic dress I look like I took it from my mother… stupid. I look like ballerina 30 years old… like a teenager sometimes… I need an advice🙏

It is difficult to tell without a picture, but I don't understand how colour blocks can make you look fat? I don't think it is colour block problem, it is more about the shape of clothes I believe... But from your description I think you could be theatrical romantic. They can also look very young! I am a gamine and in big oriental earrings I look (and feel) silly. I also look silly in long dresses. But again, difficult to tell without a picture. Anyway, I feel your struggle, it took me long time to realize which type I am.

I technically fit the flamboyant gamine label (as in I'm short and angular) but broken vertical lines look horrible on me for some reason. This has led me to believe I'm a small dramatic or a DC.
