    First step: cut the muffler in half. The incision must be on the inside
    You can see what's inside the muffler.
    This is the gas distribution system and cat.
    Here you can see the path of the gases.
    Cut the catalyst and the lower tube.
    Exhaust welding.
    Cleaning the rust from the muffler.
    After removing the rust, I smear the muffler with Vurt rust converter.
    After the rust converter dries, the metal turns purple-blue.
    Then I sand with 320 sandpaper before painting the muffler.
    I paint the muffler with high-temperature paint (Dupli color 800C)
    I dismantle the old muffler and install the modified muffler.
    Noise at low revs is slightly higher than before, but at high revs it increases.

    Did you install the retrofit taillight frame? Looks like this is the model from 2010-2014 is that correct ?

      Yes, the model is 2013. I installed the taillight from the new Vespa GTS 300 model. It is not difficult, but new holes must be drilled in the frame .

    I have a 250 gts. Te exhaust makes a metalic noise so something is broken inside. I want to cut and open the exhaust and then weld It. It can be weld with electrodes without problems? The sheet is thick enough for it? Thanks a lot

    • @fitness-fishing-s.kovachev
      @fitness-fishing-s.kovachev  Před 3 lety

      It can be welded with electrodes. The sheet metal allows. I have used 2mm electrodes. I make the voltage of the electrician between 40 and 60 Am. I make short welds as dots and then short welds on them.

    Beverly 350 kullanıyorum, egzoz kesilerek elyaf değişimi yapılabilir mi ? metalik ses geliyor, motor boşta çalışırken ... çok güzel iş , tebrikler...

      Evet mümkün Susturucu kesilip değiştirilmelidir. Daha sonra kesim kaynaklanır. İyi şanslar arkadaşım!

    Добра идея за модифициране на ауспух. Усеща ли се повече мощност?

    Thanks for your video.For me is very useful.
    One question only.
    Between sheet metal with holes and external sheet metal you noticed if there are any sound absorber material?? (e.g. glass wool,or stone wool e.t.c.)
    In my Vespa i want to make more quieter.Because is little bit noizy from factory defaults(i thing if there are any absorber material inside ,this has burn,and i think to open to replace with new,IF THERE ARE!)
    Thanks

    • @fitness-fishing-s.kovachev
      @fitness-fishing-s.kovachev  Před 3 lety +1

      There was a thin layer of cotton wool, but it was blown away by the gases. If that's all you're going to open the muffler with, I don't think it makes sense. If there is metallic noise from it, it is very likely that some metal part has broken the weld. There are a lot of sheets inside. If you are cutting the muffler, select the inside of the tire. So that the welds are not visible later. Success!

      Put inox mesh around pipe with holes then fill with mufler wool. Check some videos about moto exhaust service and would see how this mesh should look.

      @@fitness-fishing-s.kovachev Do you know if there is any issues with electronics or other? For example if the engine runs to hot or to lean, rich., bad idle.

    • @fitness-fishing-s.kovachev
      @fitness-fishing-s.kovachev  Před 3 lety +1

      @@jenshandley1543 There are no problems, it's like putting an Akrapovic muffler. The scooter is very pleasant to ride. And easily dials. And at the same time it is not very noisy. For comparison, I had put a sports muffler, but it was very noisy and I did not like how it changes the original look of the Vespa.

  • @patrick-michaelbauer8061

    could this harm the engine ?
