La Simpatika (music)
Music for a lovely dance depicting a beautiful and gracious maiden who is very much desired by many in her community. In this dance a group of four gentlemen (suitors) visit the maiden in her garden. Then she dances from one gentleman to another trying to select the best among them until at the end she makes her decision final and elopes with her chosen man, leaving her other suitors broken hearted. This dance originally from the little barrio of Lingayen, this dance has a great Spanish influence.
