Suisei has such an amazing voice for singing it is insane! Sora has the ability to go to such a high pitch at any time it is insane as well.

Exactly this is why Sora is often called the Human Vocaloid, those highs are just incredible and she's been doing them for a long time, and yes, live as well. Another cover with these high notes is Alien Alien, which is a classic Hololive cover.
The Suisei flex at the end, so good. For a very different Suisei, go for her cover of ぜんぶあんたのせい/Zenbu Anta no Sei.
Also an amazing cover with both Sora and Suisei is 餞の鳥/Hanamuke no Tori which is absolutely beautiful. Highly recommended.

Sora is classically trained and her singing skill is top notch. For more crazy high notes from her I recommend an older cover of hers, Alien Alien. Truly a human vocaloid.

To say it was a rocky road getting to where she is now would be a bit of an understatement, suggest looking at her story if you haven't seen it already.
Will always be glad she didn't quit.
I'll never understand how sora puts out bangers like this and they just dont get the views...love that you point this out at 6:18. It really deserves so much more love.
Unfortunately, even though a large chunk of vtubers and vtuber fans respect Sora for her work in the founding of Hololive, which has become one of the most influential companies in the space, she doesn't get much exposure as an individual.
Because she doesn't tend to paint outside the box very often, she doesn't get many clips. Because she doesn't get many clips, people aren't drawn to her standard content. IMO, she hit her 1 million milestone criminally late for how monumentally important she is and how much of a household name she's become in the community.
Musically, even though she has a very strong music background, very well honed skills, and a respectable music catalog, she gets overshadowed by Suisei and Calli, who tend to be most people's first exposure to the world of vtuber musicians. This becomes a snowball as the more people react to Suisei and Calli, the more new reactors are going to gravitate toward Suisei and Calli because that's where all of the traffic is. Nothing against Suisei or Calli, they're both phenomenal musicians and deserve the spotlight they're getting, but spotlights that bright does cast a fairly large shadow over the rest of the vtuber music scene due to the whims of "The Algorithm (tm)". This goes back to the previous point on how Sora's channel is criminally small for the quality she produces and the influence she's had, and therefore her projects don't get highlighted by "The Algorithm (tm)".

There's a saying that you are not a vtuber until you cover King. Sora and Suisei is such a joy to listen to.
If you want to hear some more really good King covers, you need to check out Reine’s for her interesting take on it, as well as Risu’s for just a fantastic cover (in my opinion)

Sui-chan just smoothly jumping an octave on that final "king" like it's absolutely nothing.
She was for the longest time called the Human Vocaloid for a reason and her cover of Teo just shows that! If you want more examples of Sora just making you confused of her humanity then check out some of her past covers/ originals like Alien Alien and Solar System Disco ( Theatrical Cover Live Version ).

"King" has to be one of the most extensively covered songs, every singer gives it a personal spin. For my money, Risu's version is still the yardstick, Ayame's version is the cutest (right down to that giggle), and half a step outside Hololive, Amatsuka Uto's version has to be the sweetest.
personally i found gura and mori's duet cover of it the best for adding to the song
If Suisei is the Vocal cheat code of Hololive, Sora is the whole Vocal GameShark of Hololive. Both are amazing nonetheless.
Have you ever watched the history of suisei how she started as indie then (after ALOT of hardships) she got into a branch of hololive. Got pushed to the wayside, nearly quit, got into hololive thanks to A-Chan. The story is fascinating and at every point it would have been understandable for her to stop but she persevered to give use one of the BEST Vtuber singers out there.
Sora is my favorite Vocaloid.

There is really a little lore of like Sora and sui-chan being semi rivals back in the days when Sora and hololive were like barely even a thing and sui was just an independent vtubers who literally made her own model idk if you can find it but suise kinda admitted she seen Sora as kinda her real competition on the scene and Sora always humble and bashful basically telling her no way I could touch you but Sora is her own kind of vocal monster

I’d love to see your reaction to Koseki Bijou’s (Hololive member from the new EN generation) cover of “Kyoumen no Nami” (the Land of the Lustrous anime’s OP), and/or the original itself. It’s a very, very interestingly composed song, and the vocals from Bijou and the original artist are downright beautiful.
(I’d also love to see you react to the anime itself but I know that’s a much longer endeavor)

If no one has said it, You should react to Miyu Ottavia, formerly of Nijisanji ID. She was an amazing vocalist but she decided to "graduate" due to personal reasons. She still has a handful of songs on her channel that you can view. She does a Kanaria- King cover that you'd like as well as a Yoasobi cover that's good. The first song I highly recommend reacting to is her cover of Kataomoi by Aimer. It's sooo frekaing good. =D

- Have you checked on stream everything that Startend covered? Ofc, Startend are Suisei-Towa-Aqua.
- Since we are on it, you checked the Watame - Calli double song , so how about doing the same with Reine - Risu when they covered the OP of the anime Kakumeiki Valvrave called Kakumei Dualism and they alternated on male and female vocals from the OG in each of the versions.
Now that I think about it, Luke have you ever done a reaction to a song and right after react to a cover of it from one of the v-tubers at all?!?

You MUST check out Kuzuha's KING cover if you haven't already. He's the most famous male liver in Nijisanji's JP branch and his music/covers are very well regarded. When KING covers are discussed, people usally mainly talk about the covers done by female livers (rightfully so imo bc omg they're all so good) but Kuzuha's will always come up in discussion for a reason. It's a must-listen imo, along with any of his original songs or covers.
Personally, for me, Suisei have the best King cover. I love so much the tone she sings it and her voice, also the prolonged "You are king" at the end, it's just perfection. I understand why a lot of people prefers Risu's version, but for me Suisei definitely has the crown with her cover

Day 135 of recommending the Beyblade openings.
There are the Japanese ones and the English ones. The English version has one opening for a generation, and that for the 1st and 2nd generation. The 3rd gen has one op for one season. But the Japanese version has multiple ops for a season in any gen. You should definitely check both versions out. I made playlists on my channel, so you don't need to search, cause in those compilations are a few off and not in the correct order. Thanks for checking out!

As great as Suisei's cover is, my favorite KING cover is probably Futakuchi Mana's cover.
Suisei's King cover is great, but it isn't my favorite. My favorite isn't from Hololive, it is sang by a Nijisanji member. His King cover is extremely different, but he made it fit his voice perfectly. His name is Belmond Banderas, he has one of the greatest male voice I've ever heard and, although he doesn't cover songs very often, he always does a great job. His King cover and his Los! Los! Los! cover (Youjo Senki's ending) are exceptional.
Sora always deliver when she sings. The thing is, she was the first hololive member, because of that, she isn't as popular as the newer generations. That's something you can see when you look at numbers, the first few generations have lower numbers because they weren't as widespread as Hololive is nowaday. That is unfortunate, but she still get pretty solid numbers in spite of this.
