  • Say hi in the Toasthammer Discord! / discord
Right now Kataphron Breachers are some of the better units you can use in an Admech Army, especially in 10th edition of Warhammer 40k. But what if that changes in the future? This guide will show you how to magnetize the weapon loadouts for your Kataphrons so they can use any of their weapons as the stats may change!

Great guide for magnetising these! Saved me a lot of time working out how to do mine so thank you :) just one comment though, are you sure the magnet at 6:24 is a 2x2? I has to use a 1x1 because that part of the gun is so tiny - still worked perfectly though!

Yep its definitely a tiny part, the 2x2 just barely fit in for me!

Hey man, found your channel doing a search for Admech content, you've got some good stuff here. I have a rather big, possibly simple question for you! Im way more of a hobbyist than a gamer and more into 30K than 40K but with the new 30K Mechanicum box coming at some point soon im very tempted to dive into this army. My main problem is outside of the couple of wiki pages im at a loss finding good content for this army. Specifically looking for, if any, colour plates/lore on different factions. When i play its normally Titanicus and have a home brew legio so kinda moving towards a home brew faction and just looking at colour plates for inspiration/lore helps the creative juices start moving. Anyway man enjoy the content and your video on the Kataphron has pushed me into a buyung mode!
    Cheers

Hmmm I'm going to guess you mean like a color scheme for your army? The rule of thumb I use is a split of roughly 70-75% primary color, 20% secondary color, and 5-10% of a accent color. Black and white plus any bold color works really well (see many official GW schemes) but if you want to go fully homebrew I recommend checking out something like the site below for inspiration. If you want to be lore accurate most forge worlds have some amount of red in them, but not all of them do!

And if you want good book recommendations Mechanicum is great if you're into 30k, but if you've already read that then the Forges of Mars trilogy is a really solid 40k series as well!

Maybe it's because i used weaker magnets, but the plasma gun tilts forward due to the weight distribution, do you have a fix? Maybe a counterweight?

Yep! In the video i detail how using the cables for that heavy gun chassis prevents that from happening
