Tower of Adversity's Hazard Zone requires three separate teams for a full clear. So even if there might be a better sub-DPS that can powercreep Mortefi, he's not becoming useless anytime soon. He's Jiyan's best teammate due to the Outro and is one of the best Fusion characters; he might stay as such for a very long time.
Also great for dps jianxin heavy atk 😊
Xinqiu got a sidegrade through Yelan and Furina but he's still relevant to this very day and it has been almost 4 years.
He works great with MC also. Pop his Lib, switch to MC and pop her Lib. It's a nuke.

I can't take it anymore. I'm sick of Mortefi. I try to play Jianxin. My Mortefi deals more damage. I try to play Encore. My Mortefi deals more damage. I try to play Calcharo. My Mortefi deals more damage. I want to play Jiyan. His best team has Mortefi. I want to play Rover, Danjin. They both want Mortefi. He grabs me by the throat. I farm Echoes for him. I grind for him. I give him Pistols#26. He isn't satisfied. I buy Thunderbolt. "I need more buffs", he tells me. "Give me more field time." He grabs and Verina and forces her to throw herself off enemies. "You just need to buff me more. I can deal more damage with Static Mist." I can't pull for Static Mist. I don't have enough Astrite. He grabs my credit card. It declines. "Guess this is the end." He grabs his guns. He says "Silence!" There is no hint of sadness in his eyes. Nothing but pure coordinated attack fusion damage. What a cruel world.

You should talk about his bug with Jiyan's liberation, at 6:00 if you noticed Mortefi's missiles just fly in the air without targetting any enemy.
This happens when you are in Jiyan's liberation, and the first enemy dies untill Jiyan's liberation runs out, which is a very huuge damage loss.
the same thing when you are in tower of adversity with jiyan and you have the meteor upgrade, when the first enemy dies the meteor stops falling on enemies and just fly in the sky untill jiyan's liberation goes off.

The fact that Yinlin is now running along side Jiyan banner means we can summon for Yinlin and dump the rest of the pulls into Jinyan banner for Mortefi copies.

Mortefi and Calcharo are a great pair - especially if you do Mortefi Ult + Calcharo Ult, then you can just go ham! It's *SO* fun!

@@winterstellium people are way to focused on “what looks good on paper”. Mortefi is a ranged sub dps that doesn’t need much field time. Shanhua is clunky to use, close ranged and requires more field time. Unless you are extremely good at the game, mortefi is better in practice. It’s easier to dodge with him as well. shanhua looks so op on paper, but ppl don’t really understand that she comes with a catch.
@@littlebigeats7682 I've tried the team comp with both Sanhua and Mortefi, and, personally, Mortefi + Cal runs much smoother. The other slot has Rover in it, and he's been designated for standby/backup. It might not be the most optimal for others, but I'm having fun regardless~
nah, better use him with other char that better utilize charge atk. calcharo ult are considered basic atk and liberation dmg so mortefi outro gonna be useless. better to use sanhua or jianxin for him as sanhua masively boost normals and jianxin groups, shield and heal, and massively boost liberation dmg.

I don't mind if they make all characters relevant. It's so damn sad when you like a character but it gets outdated. One would still want other characters too. If they added a "transmog" system to it as well it would even make people pull more. Like you can play mortefi but look like baizhi with pistols.

im at 125 pulls still no dragonboi. tried to reroll but cant let go of e3 mortefi and e3 danjin. im now at e5 danjin e4 mortefi and now at peace with getting jiyan at 160pulls with how my luck is going lol

Mortefi with fully built Jiyan is god's gift. I swear ever since I got Jiyan's sig and Mortefi everything feels so much better. And I only have Mortefi at e1!

Maybe Havoc Rover will slip in there somewhere once I have them unlocked but for now those 9 characters are the most fun for me rn.

It's funny how many characters are slowly getting "found out" as being busted or actually have builds that make them super strong. People who thoughts "sub dps" is their role actually are like "oh wow you can make them an insane dps" That is why i love the characters of Wuwa, they all feel good when you put even a LITTLE bit of effort into them. If you Max out a character it doesn't feel bad like other games. Even supports being max'd like if you pull a lot of supports and max their resonance chain it isn't a bad thing, because it just ends up opening up a new build which can benefit some other resonator! Other games don't have that sort of synergy with unluck.

I feel like its more appropriate to say hes the xingqui of WuWa. Since he applies quick damage on his skill and then follow up attacks on his ultimate.
Just because he is a fire type sub dps doesnt mean hes on the same role as Xiangling since elements dont mean anything in WuWa
feels like people can't make up their mind as to what buffs are important. How often do you heavy attack to justify him? I know Jiyan loves Mortefi and I agree they fit like butter on toast. But I don't think anyone ells fits enough to justify it (can't talk about Jingxi sadly.. no luck so far.). Maybe Taoqi can make use of him.
Other characters just provide more. Sanghua buffs all basic attacks, Calcharo and Chixia are her best friends. Taoqi buffs all skills. Yangyang boosts Liberation charge and is loved by all.
I don't like doubling down on elements as it severely affects your dmg when you come across it but atleast that is a universal buff and should be the one that most affects the dmg of a character.
Now having Mortefi in your team does work incredibly well as you get to use his whole kit and a swap out in a few seconds. Great! But with a main dps that don't heavily make use of heavy attacks you simply don't benefit from that heavy attack buff and should be using someone ells.
You claim there is no cd on the ult but the text do state a 0.35 cd.
I also counted the dmg done to the monkey and the Mortefi ult did... 2716 dmg where a single jiyan ult basic hit is 846, a crit 1751. With your first swing you got 4 hits and two crits already surpassing the Mortefi ults dmg.
So... that was shit. The buff to heavy attacks however is enormous! 28% on EVERY hit is fking god tier!
Over all if you wanna use him you should pair him with someone who heavily relies on their heavy attack for their majority of dmg and not pick him for the ult's pitiful amount. Put him on Jiyan's team or skip him until another character shows up who relies heavily on their heavy attacks. For us neards who go Calcharo, you want Sanghua instead. Enjoy! :D
While me who already had a total of 80 pulls, 5 copies of Danjin, 3 copies of Chixia and no a single Mortefi.

Was lucky to get Jiyan, Mortefi and cadenza with the 20 free pulls. Would love to have Mort. dups but I'm saving for Jinhsi (I think that's her name). Love her character design.
Tip for Yinlin and Mortefi wanters: If you're too close to featured banner pity but want Yinlin, her banner will be out early ALONGSIDE Jiyan's banner. Pull for Yinlin, then dump the rest of your pulls in Jiyan banner to build pity and hopefully get Morti and Danjin (since Yinlin's banner has the worst 4 stars in the game). Even Amber 2.0 is being discovered as a great swap burst dps so Jiyan's banner is just superior for 4 stars.
His liberation is more like Xingqiu's burst. It's not a xiangling that is similar to a xiangli, just the elements 🔥🔥
Jianxin and mortefi are devastating together.
She buffs his powerful ultimate and he buffs her crazy long lasting heavy attack.
Throw Verina in the mix for even more damage buffs for both of them.
When I finally have good echos that team will delete all the content!

trying to get jiyan's C1 but failed the 50/50 to jianxin, but along the way i maxed out mortefi's chain and boy oh boy, he does dishing out some crazy dmg some times while he's not even fully geared!
I lost pity on jiyan's banner still kept going. Got jiyan. Still kept going hoping for mortefi R chains got 10 danjin's, cried in corner.
S5 Mortefi is basically Aix missile x2 with res skill.

What your take on Yuanwu? He also gives Off-field damage with his ResSkill. Ult also does significant decrease to enemies shields. I'm curious as to why people are choosing Mortefi over him.
circle impact: Yuanwu buffs are confined in a circle, while Mortefi off field damage follow the active character around. Personally i am planning to build Yuanwu too, in time, just out of curiosity.
I'd like it in-depth guide on echoes only because twitch is not my profession I don't have the time to you know figure it out myself

mortefi is amazing rn i have him on 5 pc moonlit and 10% cr from artifacts and the 5* gun and he’s my encore’s best support (i have S3 encore instead of verina or any other dps)
Sanhua > Mortefi
Let's say yes Mortefi is really good (and is overall a lot better) but not all can pull for him and his sequence nodes (he is NOT a free character to get from any events) and not everyone is pulling on Jiyan's Banner (and they even shortened the banner duration). Sanhua is *actually free* from the login event and is -better than Lingyang- for a Glacio damage dealer. This is an advice for those who want to save their pulls for someone else especially F2P players.
But if you get Mortefi from random pulls then yes definitely build him but I also recommend Sanhua. She's been overshadowed too much and lacks popularity due to other characters' popularity in gameplay and she's also a very strong character. Other than these two, Danjin is also great but you need high skills for her high-risk-high-reward gameplay.

If you plan on waiting for Yinlin, do a single for her and if you get her invest into Mortefi if you don't want the 4 stars on Yinlins banner. He's def worth imo

But wait in the impermanence heron skill it says if the initial hit hits an enemy the buff will be active after using outro skill but ppl says it can be swap cancel but i dont see dmg on the going up animation so i thought the big slam thingy(tap version) should hit an enemy to activate the buff i just dont get it can anyone explain?
Edit: Ah ok so it only regenerates 10 ult energy when the initial hit hits but the buff will be active even though not hitting the initial hit

I'm ftp and have him and Chixia at R6, Danjin at R4 and all the other purple characters at either R1 or R2. I still have 35 pulls left too. So it is possible.
