Well, I am a government worker and I am obviously not retired. So, I don't have the time to travel as pften as you do. But I can't wait until I am retired so I can fulfill much more of my travel plans. I have never done any international travelling as an adult, but I plan to as soon as I obtain a passport!
This is a superb video of this aircraft taking off. Takeoff is the best part of any flight, and it is what I look forward to every summer when I travel!
And as a former NWA employee I worked that plane many times........
The DC-9 is one of my favorite aircraft. So glad to see them still in the air!
I love the Dc9's and the boeing 717's design. Those are two of my favorite types of planes.
Great plane. Great sound. Much more comfortable than those ridiculous narrow Embraers.
Its funny how a DC-9 sounds like it has much more power than a 777. This is what jets are meant to sound like!
Just love that engine sound. Delta should've kept these bad boys longer.
Excellent Footage!
DC-9 is a nice plane.

I shot this video with a Panasonic HDC TM900. I shot a few plane videos with my Canon 7D also.
Very nice video!
Amazing how Delta kept this aircraft past 36 years old
Thank Northwest airlines
coolsky dc-9 classic brought me here, love it.
Ok Thanks!
Excellent video! Just out of curiosity, what camera do you use?
nice video!
Nice👍👍

Great footage.... TY...
Awesome video!! Favorited for sure:)
Seemed like a long takeoff roll, but really nice climb out.
just an awesome distant thunder, and that climb performance!
Beautiful plane
Beautiful.
Why tf do i love this plane
Because there's no plane today that can compete with the iconic McDonnell Douglas series in design and engine sound.
Just look at that soot covered tailcone! They don't make them like they used to.
It's soot from the engines. The engines are a nice low bypass, smokey, good ol' noisy P&W JT8. Music to my ears.
Every summer is when you travel ? I fly 2 times a month domestic and 5 times a year international
Det var god film
how come on every Md-80 or Dc-9 the strobe lights go on as soon as the nose wheel leaves the ground?
good question now that you mention it......
its tail might need a little wash...
i found out its because they are powered by the pressure of the landing gears
death cruiser 9 takesoff
