I completely agree with arin. There are so many instances where it’s like “being honest about who you are makes you cooler” BUT WHEN YOURE A DOOFUS, IT DOESNT MAKE IT OKAY TO BE A DINGUS JUST BECAUSE YOU SAID “oh yeah im a doofusbag” NO realizing and DOIng something about it is good. Accepting jerkiness is not lmao
For a microsecond I thought, "wouldn't it fix things, if Rob made it clear he was playing a character? Like Egoraptor/ArinGrump is *very* different then Arin Hanson, and we all know that. So when we judge the real Arin Hanson, we don't do it based off of his internet persona." Then I realized that ruins the show. Then, it basically becomes a sitcom, and loses the whole thing that makes it special. The fact that we're watching the "real" person, Rob Schneider, and not a character, is what makes the show. It's like... the whole point. It's Real Rob! That's the point! So, in a sense, you have to rely on the audience to understand that he's playing a character, even though he's pretending he's not.
I’m just watching real rob now. The wife IS the best character, but I can say confidently the rest of the cast does the same. The show has a sort of brilliance to it which is baffling. The show uses that brilliance to express how much of a bad person Rob is, because it’s him, REAL ROB
I think the point of the show is that he's a dick, realizes it, owns that persona, and is proud about it and does nothing to correct his attitude. Is that frustrating to watch? Yes. Is that the point? Also yes. I never said it was a good premise, but yeah that's the premise.
Like, I don't understand why Arin is so confused. It's clearly a show meant to troll. The audience expects rob Schneider's character to get what he deserves, but he constantly doesn't. And that's the whole point. It's supposed to entertain by constantly teasing that he might get his comeuppance and the Audience wants that to happen but it doesn't happen. The show is meant to be a tease
But you also have to consider that Arin needs to constantly come up with new comedy bits to fill time in GG. I don't believe he is so petty he is complaining about Rob Schneider's show, but is doing it for comedic effect. Similar to how he pretends to be angry when playing a difficult game. Im sure he can enjoy Dragon ball without having to relate to being a super saiyan. It has to be difficult coming up with new things to say that are funny so often, which is why you have to take what they say with a grain of salt. When Dan told "his" CVS/KFC bo'kay life story, it was actually a joke off urban dictionary. It's better to just take what they say as just jokes but maybe now this is getting too meta lol
Arin validates me and my thought process of "Now I have to see the rest of it to see if it gets any better!!!!" It's mostly a lose lose situation but sometimes we get a W and that's what perpetuates the cycle lol
Having just seen the clip with the barista and the tip, I finally understand his anger here. Nobody looks good in the show. Everybody is written as being an asshole.
I watched Velma tonight and immediately was reminded of Arin's reaction to Real Rob here. I just don't understand who that show (Velma) is for. None of the characters are relatable and it does everything it can to alienate nearly every demographic imaginable. It's just baffling.
I remember watching that show after his sitcom got canceled. It was during that weird era when Netflix was just handing out shows. Like remember Flaked with Will Arnet? Crazy time, wasn’t that bad but definitely odd
I honestly think it would actually be funnier, If Rob's Character hires a New Personal Assistant, and it turns out; that they're his Stalker... (Even though it's basically diet Alan Partridge...)
"Because h-he he SUCKS!"
Gets me every time
same, it's my favourite part of the whole rant
I love this because Arin isn't playing an exaggerated character here, this is just pure, genuine frustration
*Im GuNNa G0 IN MaI MiLLiON DOllar HAUS*
*Muh SuPeR LaRGe hAUs wIF Uh POuL!*
@ 0:41 that “ok” from Arin is one of the surest signs that we’re in for a legendary tirade.
"I don't know who the show is for."
Obviously it's for Rob Schneider.
So this is the episode that lead to Rob Schneider being on guest grumps

oh yeah im a doofusbag
Doofus Listen doofus. There are 2 kinds of doofuses in the world. Real rob doofus, and nice doofus
Thank you for "doofusbag."
@Seantendo It's like a clean version of "douchebag".
Did anyone misread this video as "Real Job", thereby expecting it to be a compilation of any time they joke about "getting a real job"???
I read "Real Bob" and I was like "Who's Bob?"
YES FUCK I THOUGHT I WAS GOING CRAZY
YES WHAT THE HELL

I’m so happy they got rob in on guest grumps
cause i liked the episode
@@sunsetkirby9357 good reply
You know, that Rob Schneider guy is a real jerk
@@Crimblor is that norm

its weird cause this is one of the few times Arin hates something, is fascinated by the fact he hates it, and kinda loves the fact he hates it
"Curse you and your hidden fish, cool level 10/10" lol

The whole stalker bit falls apart when you realize no one likes Rob Shneider enough to stalk him.
I haven't seen Real Rob but from Arin's description, I'd say he was going for a sort of Curb Your Enthusiasm vibe.
“You’re scaring me, Arin.”
I love this six minute buildup
Can we just acknowledge that Arin said Notre Dame in the context correctly
For a microsecond I thought, "wouldn't it fix things, if Rob made it clear he was playing a character? Like Egoraptor/ArinGrump is *very* different then Arin Hanson, and we all know that. So when we judge the real Arin Hanson, we don't do it based off of his internet persona."

Man I’m so glad the grumps and the Schneider’s are really good friends now.
I come back to this video at least once a week
Consternation was actually the correct word.
I’m just watching real rob now.
The wife IS the best character, but I can say confidently the rest of the cast does the same. The show has a sort of brilliance to it which is baffling. The show uses that brilliance to express how much of a bad person Rob is, because it’s him, REAL ROB
Would it be better if I said considering it doesn’t take much
And the music they do between cutting from scene to scene is asinine too
Also he’s supposed to be racist? I guess?
Just so I’m clear
The wife alone isn’t funny
The wife is a good character because Rob is funnier when she is in the seen.
And why would he kick the stalkers door in after the conversation and funny cool premise that just happened. There is no reason or context to Rob
That’s the opposite of REAL ROB
It’s like the shows goal is to take a show called Real Rob and make it a show called the Good Rob
I think the point of the show is that he's a dick, realizes it, owns that persona, and is proud about it and does nothing to correct his attitude. Is that frustrating to watch? Yes. Is that the point? Also yes. I never said it was a good premise, but yeah that's the premise.
spiderdude2099 when you put it that way it’s like a less funny curb your enthusiasm

It's just bAFFLING to me
Literally the first recommended video after this is the guest grumps with Rob Schneider. Oof.
Oh my god, I just realized! Markiplier did this concept way better!
It’s basically if Curb Your Enthusiasm were starred by Rob Schneider instead of Larry David.
That took a turn rq.
Clearly the show was made especially for Arin in how he reacts to the show
I was like wait Arin likes something this feels odd and then it turns out he was joking so it's ok
Real Rob sounds a lot like Inside Amy Schumer.
Milk Berry I don't wanna see inside Amy Schumer
Fun fact: They're the same show.
Welcome to the insides of Amy Schumer if you look to the left you will see strains of chlamydia migrating south to the ovarian canal
No it doesn't. Are you fucking deaf?
thanks so much for this.
My favorite part of this is how they did a Guest Grumps with Rob and Patricia like three months after the episode this clip is from was posted... XD

So is it like the Kardashians on like a softer level?
2:33 you may be thinking of “contrition” Arin 😂
So, is this show like Warwick Davis show except without a steady punchline of things blowing up in his face?
I thought he actually loved it and was just baffled that Rob Schneider made it but then Arin hating it made more sense

Did you know that the only critical quote on the "Real Rob" Wikipedia page was from this?
it’s it’s just BAFFLING to me
And then they had Rob on the show.

It's so funny that this rant led to 2 great episodes witb rob and his wife lol
Imagine how boring GG would be if they weren't constantly over exaggerating everything that could possibly be nitpicked.
"Woah, Mario got a little crazy there!"
There's no way to discuss this show without getting locked up, genuinely
Obviously it’s for Arin 😓
The way Arin feels about Real Rob is *exactly* the way I feel about Assassin's Creed. It's the best worst.

Rob Schneider is a horrible person who probably hates non-rich people as much as his character in his show. He made that show for him.
