I think that's how he developed to become, good at cooking himself great food. Although his mother isn't a great cook, but she did take the effort to cook him so many things to eat, and ensure he eats well. Although his parents are always busy with work, probably trying to make ends meet, but they still took time to connect with Key in the smallest things.
