You know despite winning Frieza ended up being played like a Fiddle by Megatron. As the fight goes on Megatron does acknowledge how powerful Frieza is but is so easily prone to anger that he chooses to roast and destroy Frieza enough to piss him off and destroy Cybertron. Well played Megatron. Well played.
Same with Bill Cipher he "won" the physical fight against Discord but didn't realize until it was to late that Discord played him like a fiddle and trapped him in the Nightmare Realm again saving Equestria.

Unicron didn’t get the last laugh.
He didn’t get to eat anything while Galactus got to eat an entire Galaxy. Though, Unicron did destroy the Ultimate Nullifier and prevented him to eat Earth so it was something.

Megatron: I have fought for my planet for eons. I would rather see it turned to ash than reside in your filthy hands, organic scum!
Frieza: Ohohohohohoo! I love it when they monologue back.
*Frieza lifts up his finger, unleashing a Supernova and sending it straight towards Megatron and his planet. But the Decepticon leader fires at it with his Fusion Cannon, which knocks it back at the Frost Demon, engulfing him and his fleet. The Supernova destroys all of Frieza's spaceships, but the blast soon turns from a fiery orange to a royal purple. It then dissipates as Frieza emerges, floating alone in his Final Form.*
Frieza: Pity. I'll have to construct a new mothership from your corpse!
The meeting dialogue alone is iconic!

I mean seriously, how the f*** did they not have him say “Frieza, your mockery of a reign is over!”
(After destroying Megatron, and Cybertron with him, Frieza, still wounded and in his Black form, suddenly sees a planet, similarly cybernetic-looking to the one he just destroyed, screaming toward him before stopping. Then he hears a booming voice come from that planet's direction.)
Unicron: "You have destroyed Cybertron. And in doing so, you have destroyed my brother Primus. He was not yours to destroy! He was mine!"
Frieza: (surprised, but otherwise unintimidated) "You insolent fool! I am Lord Frieza, Emperor of the Universe! I've destroyed countless planets before this one! You will suffer the same fate as your 'brother!'"
Unicron: (likewise unintimidated) "Despair! For, you are nothing before Unicron, Chaos Bringer!"
(Enraged, Frieza charges up and launches an extremely large Death Ball at Unicron, only for the resulting blast to leave little visible damage on Unicron's planetary surface, much to Frieza's immense surprise)
Unicron: (growling in annoyance as he begins transforming) "I am oblivion itself, the death of all things! In the end, all will know the terror Unicron brings!"
Frieza: (now trembling in terror at the colossal robot looking down at him) "N-no, this can't be!"
Unicron: "Beg not for mercy. Accept your demise. Against mine chaos, even gods will die!"
(Unicron unleashes a Dark Energon beam from his chest, obliterating Frieza as he screams in agony.)
Unicron: "Now, it is time I consume that wretched backwater planet Earth once and for all."

Frieza definitely has no chance against Unicron as unlike Megatron, Unicron is multiversal given his singularity status and any hate will just heal/resurrect Unicron.

I can only imagine the sh** Shockwave would create in response to that. The entire reason Regenesis was a thing was to ensure Cybertron lived forever. Losing the planet he tried to consume the entire infinite outerverse of transformers for would probably be the only thing that would get him to lose his cool.
(yes, transformers canonically is made up of infinite multiverses which Shockwave compacted into a single ingot of raw power and somehow defeating that sh*t wasn’t enough to earn Megatron the win. This battle was biased as hell).
@@alphastronghold715 TBF, Optimus and Megs only won because Megs made Shockwave lose focus with his Autobot stunt and that allowed Optimus to help Shockwave to remember his past life and he let Optimus and Megs kill him.

That being said, it’s not inconsistent with the rest of his feats. Destroying deceptigod and Unicron were both on a similar scale.

This fight in a nutshell: "Surprisingly, Megatron had a win condition. Unsurprisingly, he still didn't win."
Even more surprisingly, there were a few lowballs in Megatron's end of the research.
@@vaggos2003A few? They took less than five seconds to go over him defeating Regenesis Shockwave who had the power of INFINITE MULTIVERSES UNDER HIS CONTROL.
This should have been a cakewalk for old Chrome Dome, but they decided to pick and choose which feats to include between IDW and G1. Hell, they didn’t even touch on Alternity.
That win condition, his antimatter, they barely even used which completely ignored the actual way he controls it. The guy is literally a walking space bridge, capable of manipulating time and space itself more efficiently than f***ing Ultra Instinct and they said Frieza was faster.
There was some behind the scenes nonsense here, because this fight should have gone WAY differently.
They didn’t even use a single one of Megatron’s iconic lines. I mean seriously, how the hell did they miss “Frieza, your mockery of a reign is over!”?!

2:06 is always my favoriye it focus more on megatron where he choose to fight then accepting peace with the autobot at a cost of cybertron the home he swore to change for the better live into destruction and the art showing megatron regret and lost of his home
I'm really glad to see these getting remastered. Hearing some of the tracks made for this show was partially what inspired me to go into a sound design career. So, hopefully, you can get your music back out there. Also, because they got taken down, it cut my spotify likes in half lmao

I may hate the matchup, but this track is my outright favorite both from you and in the entire show, period. The highlights (and parts I always love replaying) are the Golden Frieza transformation and the ending after the fake-out.
In my eyes (and because of my sheer bias for Megatron), it gets that coveted 13/10. Love it through and through!
