      Cal Neva is still standing and hopefully it opens back up again. As far as Vegas classic casinos outside of Fremont street its not looking good.

    Wow there's a ton of footage in this one. This Sinatra/Giancana/GCB battle story is well-compiled and professionally presented in this video. I didn't know Sinatra was that involved with ownership in the Sands and Cal-Neva. I thought he was mainly a singer and performer. Wow they approved him after all of their background checks. Looks like Sinatra was untouchable just like his mob friends. Wow Harry Reid, the MGM grand fire. It amazes my Vegas hasn't had any major hotel fires since 1980.

      Sinatra was lucky in many ways, things were not nearly as strict back then that they are now. Sinatra had a a lot of power in Vegas and Hollywood in the 60's. It's amazing the gaming officials were able to revoke his license in 1963.

    Seems like so many of the old strip entertainers were trying to own casinos back then. I guess who could blame them.

    • @VegasVisual
      @VegasVisual Před rokem +1

      It's much easier money to own the casino, no performances are necessary. Plus, the entertainer can say I won't play at your casino unless I get some "points", either for free or at a reduced rate.

      @@dlp2600 Thank you, I try to post a Vegas history video monthly, depending on how long it takes to complete. Currently I am working on a series of Las Vegas historical moments, by decade. The 1800's, 1900's & 1910's are posted, now I am working on the 1920's.
      The "video" page has all of my history videos.
      Johnny Roselli is not on my radar yet but will eventually get around to doing something on Roselli, or related to Roselli.

    At 44:35 there's an arrow pointing up at a man saying Jimmy the weasel Fratiano, when in fact he's second from the right, standing on Carlo Gambino's lefthand side. See how easy s**t gets fu**ed up...

    At 43:35 the caption reads the weasel as being at the bottom. Jimmy the weasel is to the right of Gambino at the top. Just for accuracy.

      Just for accuracy let's get this right, Jimmy's on Gambino's left hand side. Not one but two of youse, oh Madonna Mi, see how easy s**t gets fu**ed up. If you believe everything you see, and hear, they'll have you believing DaVinci, Galileo, and Columbus, were all Mafioso. Now how's that for the truth...
