- Several months ago, I made my first video talking about Georgia Tech in which I discussed 5 Things I Wish I Knew Before Coming To Georgia Tech. I decided it was time to make a follow-up where I drilled into a few more things that didn't make the cut in the initial video.

Thanks, Kyle - as an alumni (I graduated in 1988 , didn't have an easy/west campus, etc.) - I like listening to these videos mostly to see what has changed versus what has stayed the same.
Many experience the freshman 15 - where one can expect to gain 15 pounds in their first year.
I actually lost ten pounds from all the walking/biking I did getting around campus.
Also being from the NE part of the US - many of your other comments I could relate to as well.
Good luck!
As a prospective student, I really appreciate your videos Kyle! These keystrokes alone cannot grasp how underrated your channel is!
Thanks so much! I really appreciate you saying that.
No mention of the summer weather for prospective co-op students, so I'll toss that in.
It's very sporadic. There are a lot of short thunderstorms and the temperature is usually 90-100 F. At night it might cool down to 80 and that will be the best thing ever.
Thanks for throwing that in here! I've never spent a summer in Atlanta so I left it out, but I'm sure anyone doing a summer session will appreciate you adding that.
Prospective student here! Likely going to rely on the Zell Scholarship (you probably know what this is but it's a scholarship program pays 100% of tuition for Georgia students who meet student requirements). Likely going to be majoring in CS as well, so I'd like to know how hard it is to maintain above a 3.3 GPA in the CS program. Love your channel man, thanks!
Thanks! Up until this point I've been fortunate enough to maintain a 4.0 (don't worry that's definitely not the norm though haha), but a 3.3 if you're willing to put in the work (I think) is achievable. And yep, you'll find that a lot of people here are on the Zell Scholarship, and GT naturally doesn't want all of its students to lose their scholarships if their classes are too hard. If you're curious about some class GPAs, you can check out Course Critique; that'll give you an idea of average grades for some of the CS classes. Best of luck!
@@KyleKeirstead Thanks!!
Your thumbnail looks like you hired a graphic designer
Nope, I've just been going through and redoing them all using Photoshop :) I appreciate that though!
@@KyleKeirstead No problem! I got a video suggestion. Since your channel seems to be themed towards an incoming freshman audience, make a video on how to be organized in a hybrid/online setting. Maybe you could talk about some of the productivity tools and strategies you use.
That's actually one of my planned upcoming videos, so you can be expecting to see that one in the next few weeks!
