- Welcome back to more Spider-Man 2. This time I'm showing off the new Symbiote Suit you receive pretty early in the game. So far the game has been a lot of fun & I'm looking forward to the rest of the game. I might be doing a bit of stealth for the next video, so look out for that soon. Know what my favourite thing is about the Symbiote? It's abilities are built-in and can be active no matter what suit your wearing. For the special attacks, the tendrils just come out of him, and for Symbiote Surge he actually switches to the Symbiote Suit. I just think that's a really cool detail.
Exactly. This is the closest thing we're ever going to get to Web of Shadows in terms of the suit selection.
@@winnesota_ I think it's actually nice that this game is going about it differently than Web of Shadows. Don't get me wrong, I love WoS's suit changing and how it completely changes your playstyle, but I like how Insomniac went with something a little different.
Until you beat the game, and then you’re SPOILERS:
Locked behind anti-venom attacks, even if you’re wearing the black suit. Hopefully this changes so that the abilities can change to black when wearing the black suit. Also, I hope to see a black suit transition into red suit ability.

Not being able to change the time of day/weather and not being able to use the black symbiote tendrils after story completion really sucks. Especially for photo-mode. I hope Insomniac updates this soon.
no fr it’s actually mind blowing they didn’t give us time of day options on launch considering this is the third game . not only that but locking us out of the black symbiote is crazy
That’s lame. Thankfully I’ve gotten used to only buying games a week or two after they’re out so bugs like this can be fixed, even though it should’ve been fixed before the game was out.

black symbiote tendrils? you completely lose the ability to use the symbiote after the story, you can only equip the black suit or the symbiote suit but that's the closest to it you get
If only if you could switch between the Red and Black suit like in Web of Shadows in-game
Yeah, I know what you mean. I’m really hoping they add this for NG+ as an extra ability so I can spend these skill points that I’ve got leftover.
@@blank4142 and from what I heard, the symbiote effects are white (because events) after completely the story and you can’t change that, so hope they fix that too aka give us the option to change the symbiote colors

You can if you wear the regular suit & use the venom rage thing, it’ll switch the suit from red to black but after the rage runs out it’ll turn your suit back red

Because his nozzles are tuned differently than Petes, it was mentioned in the DLC for Spider-Man 1 that Miles saw the webshooters pete made for him but they weren't right for his body type.@@WM042

How do you switch the colour of tendrils. Because I’ve just finished the main campaign & even when I’m in the black suit, the abilities are the white tendrils from the anti venom suit. If someone knows how to fix this please let me know it’s so distracting.

If you could do a short list of positives and negatives for this game, what would you have to say?
Negatives: Black cat is not in NewYork
Negatives: Peter has that weird Remastered face again. Really does not suit his body nor personality.
Also, he does not have that traditional athletic swimmer body with small yet well defined muscles. Also lack of cake is underwhelming.
New mechanics gliding mechanics make web swinging obsolete. They could have taken Web of Shadows /SM2 mechanics and introduce clear pros to swing around buildings. For example, in web of shadows you could make a giant wheelie and catapult yourself with accumulated torque.

You get the suits but for now you can only use anti venom’s abilities witch sucks but they’ll deal with that when they add new game plus

no you have to change to it from the suit menu otherwise your gonna be normal spider man with random black tendrils coming out of you and when you get the anti venom suit you can no longer go back to black color tendrils and they never tell you this

Every symbiote fan is pointing this out and its pretty stupid that the Spider Legs change colors depending on the suit you wear yet simply changing the tendrils back to black post game is somehow not in their priority.. im pretty sure theyre gonna do this in NG+

Once the game has platinumed, will there always be criminals in the city? to play some more I mean
There's going to be some regular criminals time to time. But usually you'll see cultists, hunters, and Symbiotes. This is why we need mission replay in this game. Just like Miles Morales, we need to be able to select any crime we want to replay. We've been spoiled with Miles Morales. Ain't nobody wants to wait for a crime to pop up. We want to do it right away, when we want to.
All I have are symbiote crimes after the game is over ... over ... and over again ... non stop ... even though storywise they should be GONE and not a problem anymore.@@winnesota_

You can, only downside is that its not going to be the regular abilities. They're working on an update for that, for what I heard.

I understand why people are upset about the Anti-Venom replacing the Venom Symbiote. But let’s be real: Given the story explanation for why, and how similar the Venom Symbiote Suit is to the Anti-Venom Suit anyway…why would they give us “Anti-Venom, but weaker”, since Anti-Venom helps against Symbiote enemies?

That's because at the end of the game peter has the anti venom symbiote instead of venom. according to someone else you can't change the moves and tentacles back to black but they'll probably add it in an update

Edit: The wingsuit gliding is basically the adaptation of gliding in Prototype 2.
Edit 2: New York textures look more like in Prototype 2 than in first Marvel's Spiderman.

Spider Man 2 lacks hand to hand combat. He relies to much on webs and it doesn't seem grounded. He shoulb be acrobatic but if it's only that it becomes stale. If they make aditonal skill tree that evolves hand to hand it would make si much more rich. I'm not saying coping Arkham Night but learning from it.
