I wouldn't be surprised if China is going to be the first to implement Universal Basic Income for their citizens. Not only robots replace human workers, they are also more efficient, thus the factory can afford to pay more tax, and the government can distribute the income for the general public, so they can still buy stuff.

Yes I agree that robots can probably in most cases do the work better, but humans need to work, and if humans don’t have jobs and money who will buy all the cheaper products. I don’t know how wise it is to replace so many human workers. At least provide humans some money to humans to survive. One last thing Governments should heavily tax companies that use all robot workers.

When I was at school the boys and masters talked about the approaching "age of leisure" in which machines would do almost all the work that had to be done and the humans would have a great deal of free time. I reckon that the "age of leisure" will first manifest as "the age of unemployment" and that people in the lower echelons of society will be encouraged to have themselves made unable to conceive children in return for better treatment from the State. I am alarmed :)

Unless the robots are going to be in the buying public OR nations require corporations to pay out wages to those they displace, there will be no consuming market and the robots will become useless as well as the companies going under for lack of sales .....
There will be new jobs that take the place of the ones that robots and AI take over. Eventually, society won't need jobs to live anymore and we'll most likely be given standard of living items without cost, then the jobs that are still available will give incentives to obtain higher cost items that aren't included in the standard of living items that are given for free.
The question is.. what are they going to do with all the humans in the world.. are they planning on releasing a new pandemic, or war, or something… I feel sorry for people who have kinds in 2024….sad times ahead …

Realistically, it's still too early to mass-produce robots because the dexterity of their fine motor movements is less than a 5 yr old's and they're slow. Not to mention costly. However, since technology progress in AGI and robotics can only be funded adequately by selling at the same time, this is being done.
