The whole album helped me through the last year, since the song Abyss was released. I'm definitely giving a try on this one when it comes the moment.

Im a noob guitarist. I think people who are good enough to play this don't need tabs. Im I right or wrong? (Still enjoyed the vid, it's just a beginner's honest question)
I have been playing bass for over a decade, and I still use tabs. Ear training is definitely a thing, but it is a skill like any other that takes practice and it is something I have neglected for over a decade. I would say start looking into that while you are still new to guitar so you can grow your skill there as well as with your playing.
Playing an instrument is not a sport, there's no "cheating" here. If you have the speed to play this (which is definetly not noob-land), there's nothing wrong in reading the tab to be able to learn it faster.
If you can play it by ear, good for you, but if you don't, there's nothing wrong in learning by tab (specially if the tab was created by the bandmates themsleves, which is guaranteed to be correct).
Keep learning and have fun!
Why learn it by ear, miss a few notes and spend more time learning it when you can have the guy who wrote it present the tab exactly as it’s played and a video showing you him playing it exactly as it’s tabbed? As an ear player, this is much preferred.
