G’day Dr Nancy team & Co ;-) Good job on Glimmer. I had a similar horse ear issue and used ivomectin on the ears, eventually cleared up to almost normal..lol Well done epic job getting on top of it, love viewing the veterinary in detail, is so educational! Glummers ears look SO much better..when Dr Nancy first started this it looked horrendous those warts were so long they blocked his ears and actually weighed them down..now he just has a few crusty regrowth even being left for nearly 3 weeks they look great..love the piece of equipment which holds their head when they are sedated..great work and it must be so much better for Glimmer too..he is a good patient and although sedated I think he knows it is helping him but how they see through the mask I don't know..but its a must to keep those pesky flies off wounds..great invention whoever it was..🇬🇧💞🙏✝️🐎👍👏🇺🇸
They can actually see really good through the masks. My horse wears one 24/7 and it looks different when you have it over your eyes looking out, I've tried my horse's mask out and you can see pretty normal out of it. Keeps harmful sunrays and bugs out of their eyes and ears 😊
So happy Glimmer is also doing well with his ears. It must be an awful condition to have and it looks so much better now. I do hope some day, he will finally be cured from these nuisance warts! 🐎🙏💕
GLIMMER'S EARS ARE GETTING THERE..CONSIDERING WHAT HIS EARS LOOKED LIKE AT THE START AS TO WHAT THEY LOOK LIKE NOW ITS AWESOME..THANK YOU ALL..as always prayers and blessings
What's up with his tail? I know the tendons were cut long long ago as part of the Big Lick process to strap their tail up high but I wasnt aware of anything they really do to resolve that... once it's done it's done. Or does the tail have another issue like his poor ears...
@@horselover91067 Glimmer belongs Glimmer belongs to HP after the death of his owner. He won't ever be sold. He has been in protection with death threats for years by some that want the big lick.
Not mange but warts...they picked some off and cut some out previously and he is on some medication to try and clear them up but it will take some time, maybe a long time, to clear up and the warts are regrowing a bit. He had the wart issue with his ears when he was first rescued by HPHS 8 years ago...but I know this vet will keep at it until it's as good as it can get.
They go into the details in the first video where they treat him, but basically this is a condition many horses have but they are asymptomatic and never have any warts grow, but if their immune system faces enough strain they can suddenly start growing warts
I'm so glad he is getting all the love and attention he deserves ❤ thank you!
Awww poor baby
He'll feel so much better when it's all said and done. ❤😊
He's going to feel so much better when this has all passed. He's so handsome and such a good boy.
Such an improvement, well done everyone. Best wishes from England UK 🇬🇧
So glad Glimmer is making good progress!
I did not know that horses could get warts. Very good channel.
40 years ago we had a horse that had a similar issue. At that time there wasn’t a good treatment. I’m so happy to see progress has been made💕

He looks much better!!
Sweet Glimmer!
He's doing well. I'll admit I was amused by his totally stoned look at 1:15.

Could you maybe use a flea comb to get that OLD stuff out? That way he wouldn't have to deal with the "buzz" ?
❤❤
Can you give him the hover vaccine?
Any more updates on Glimmer's Ears? It is almost July 2023.
How are Glimmers ears
Is his tail being treated also? I'd like to see the progress their too, if it is
