You don't understand how it feels to go 11 years without thinking of this movie and then you randomly start thinking of some scene and you can remember the name of the action figures, then after months u finally find it. Sooo nostalgic

And at that point, I had reached the age where I was getting rid of all my "baby" stuff, so I never replaced it. So after a lengthy and very spiritual journey in the martial arts, I'm actually returning to watch this movie because when I was a kid, the themes in this movie in particular did not quite reach me. But now that I'm 25, the lessons being taught by this movie have much more profound impact and having made the transition from a martial art student to a martial art instructor, I now find myself rewatching this movie to understand all the things the child version of me either didn't notice or didn't give much credit too. Thankfully I've learned over the years that what the Rescue Heroes went through with a thunder storm starting from a volcano and its ash is unlikely. Still, I'm sure many who watched this in 2003 or years later might've gotten a little scared wondering if the said storm would ever happen in real life.

This movie is so nostalgic for me. It holds up amazingly well (minus the animation) for a movie produced for a toy brand all the way back in 2003. The killer sound-track and the compelling storyline always captivated my attention as a kid, and continues to do so as an adult. (That shredding guitar gets me every time.) The situation, the people, the emotions - all felt so real to five year old me. I was there, I was fighting the fires with Wendy, I was climbing the volcano with Rocky. We were all there beside Billy's bedside. Looking back on it now, I never realized how much this movie's morals contributed to my love for rescue situations and appreciation for severe weather, until now. The movie even had strong female leads I could look up to as a girl! And don't get me started on all the iconic one-liners...
Overall, I just wanted to say thank you, Karma Eiss, for posting this and allowing everyone to indulge in some classic nostalgia, and to everyone else here, watching, commenting, never forget we can all do our part when it comes to protecting the people around us - So think like a Rescue Hero: Think safe!!!

This represented the end of a major part of my childhood. Reascue Heroes was my favorite toy line as a kid and I loved watching the TV show. After this, the Rescue Heroes just sort of disappeared. I think they tried to replace it with something called Planet Heroes it didn't go anywhere. What a shame.

I'm currently taking courses to become a lifeguard, and am attending nursing school in the fall. I (and probably a lot of other people) use this show for inspiration whenever I feel like something is too much for me. It's truly an amazing series. All the best with your firefighting career!
