Lovely video, I was also able to order the book through a book shop and am waiting on its arrival...I could not resist waiting any longer and watched your flip through. I also love that the patterns are 'grown up' on larger fabric...I am not cross stitching long and need the bigger holes while I am learning. I love the geese migration and the bugs....the use of negative space is fabulous in all of them....I have seen your next floss tube and the owl is stunning so I might need to rethink my starting piece.

Loved Max's book ! My favourite are mainly the ones you said I love the bear, the owl and I do like the sunset on the lake.

Really enjoyed your video Laura. Love the haul!! I’ve started with buying Xmas presents that my husband is going to give to me!! Loved the review of the book. I’ve seen some flosstubers have been sent the book by the designer. But you gave the best preview of the book and you bought it!! There’s some lovely projects in there. I can see some sals coming on. I’ve now cancelled my Amazon order which was showing delivery for the 2nd of October and ordered it elsewhere. Look forward to your next video and see what you’ve been stitching.

Hi Laura, I found you through a shout out from cross stitch bunny, so pleased I did. Enjoyed the video, I had also just recently ordered the primrose cottage patterns after a long impatient wait for them to be available in the uk or 123 stitch. I also had the In The Forest book on pre-order via Amazon since early July, so thanks to you I have also just ordered from Blackwell and also cancelled my pre-order as they were showing an October delivery date. I love Max’s style of designs and cannot wait to start one of them, my absolute favourite is the cover design, but love them all. Look forward to going back and watching your previous video’s and of course your future ones. Great to see that you are based in the UK too. I regularly attend the Essex Needle retreats and hoping to attend the Big Stitch in 2026, loved hearing and seeing everyone’s glowing reviews 🥰

Happy belated birthday! You got some lovely patterns and the vellum fabric is gorgeous. I'd love to know where the earrings are from. I'm also an August baby and have a few nice bits to show on my next video - when I finally get round to it! The patterns in the book are stunning - I particularly like the bear and the final one of the sunset, although the black aida scares me a bit.
Looking forward to hearing what your plans are for the next few months. I'm already thinking about next year...

Black aida is okay as long as you have something light coloured underneath where your stitching (like a white cushion or pillow case on your lap). That’s my little tip for whatever it’s worth 😂
