I “discovered” him in 1968. Captivated ever since. No one. No one. Not anyone in the history of American music can come close to his talent, charisma, showmanship, toughness and longevity. Hank William's “You Win Again” is one song that he performed at every live concert. He never played it the same way twice. That is true of all his live shows. Beyond genius. No training. Can’t read music.

We've been following Jerry Lee since 1970. Seen him in person many times over the years. Best time ever was in Evansville Indiana. I got to sit on the floor right smack at his feet and got to watch him do amazing, awesome piano playing that NO ONE could ever come even close to. It was unbelievable what he did to that piano when he did boogie woogie. His hands were just a blur. I got tons of pictures that night to remember and never forget. God given talent for sure. Cookie

My introduction to Jerry Lee was back in the early 70's. My dad would rock out (and drink a few highballs) after a hard day at the office listening to JLL on the stereo headphones....After a few drinks, dad would disconnect the phones and turn up the reverb on the old "Hi-Fi" ...until mom couldn't bear it! I loved JL's music and listened to those albums hundreds of times...even through the disco, punk, new wave, & grunge era , Jerry Lee was the always my go to - He was the Man!!!- truly an Icon who "rocked his life away" Some of his best music were versions of country and gospel classics... Nobody talked/cared about his personal life or 'demons"- no cancel BS- we just loved his music and watched him on TV any chance we could. Saw JL live only once- he made a mistake about where he was performing- after a quick correction by someone in the band- JL fires back- "doesn't matter, its all god's country" ...They finally rang those "Golden Bells" for you Mr Lewis. Rest in Peace.

I yelled out, "sing You Win Again". He lit up and nodded and sang it. I think he loved that song.
