主人公に対して月の王子ノーマンが「君のママを僕たちにくれ」と頼むシーン
月の人々は母という存在によって、地球人の自分たちとは違う何かが理解出来るかもしれない。でもそれは他人の母親ではきっと理解し得ないもの。「自分の母親」という替えのきかない存在を欲しがる様は、本当に地球人の持つ愛を理解できていないのだと感じた。
Motherって母なる地球ってことか。。？

個人的な解釈です。
(火の鳥「望郷編」を読んだことのない人がこの曲の歌詞だけ見て考えたことなので、軽い気持ちで見ていただけると幸いです)
何らかの理由で人々は地球には住めなくなって、別の星に逃げ出したのでしょう。何らかの理由って言うのは多分、温暖化やら公害やら、とにかく人間が自分勝手に生きてきたせいで巻き起こったことだと思います。

新しい星は人々の手によって生まれ変わり、「第二のエデン」とまで言われるようになった。地球の存在が忘れられつつある中でこの子は一人、地球を殺したのは自分だと悔いているんだろうな。

コムが花となるシーンを目の当たりにして全てが繋がったように思えました。
母なる星地球に降り立ち、
そこで果てたいという夢が叶ったロミ...
餞に手向けた花束とはコムそのものだったのでは無いか、
｢全部全部、愛してしまっていた｣のは果たしてロミだけだったのか。
ロミと同じ道を辿ったとも取れるコムこそ愛してしまっていたのでは無いか...
私にはそう思えてなりませんでした。
理解が深まりきった所でこの曲を聴くと涙が止まりません。
母なる大地で死ねなかったのかな…
MVのひとつひとつもとてもうつくしい、
