The thunderous roar of Molineux. From winning the division to dropping down to league two we have always kept our chins high and our atmosphere even higher.

Wolves fans back then must've felt very privileged to have watched players like Derek Dougan.

Not realising it was an indirect free kick, was a cruel blow for Waggie. . . A great unsung hero!

Used all through the season at Molineux in those days. One of the last clubs to retain the brown ball.

Give it to Waggie, was the perfect route for Wolves in those days, and he never disappointed, should have played for England loads of times

Fascinating to see the majority of men in the Molineux Street stand are wearing a collar and tie. How times change. Also amazing to see Derek Parkin - who I remember as the quietly spoken "elder statesman" of the team not only scoring but also losing his rag and being dragged away by the Doog of all people :). Also, if someone like Paul Gascoine had beaten two men the way Waggy did they'd have been talking about it for months!

With 2013 Wolves a goal down at non-league Luton in the Cup (if the score stays the same Solbakken's last?), what better than to turn the clock back and watch this footage of an excellent Wolves side. Thanks yet again, Mercian.

I am giving away my age. But remember playing with the brown ball. When it got wet it turned into a 50 Lb rock.

My brother and I were there - always used to go in the 'Kid's Pen' [in the top left corner of screen - or to the far right side of the goals]. Brilliant times!

I don't understand how the challenge on Mick Channon at 2:26 mins was not a penalty. It was a clear foul, not an obstruction. Then again Hugh Johns just gave it a `whoops` and didn't make a deal of it. Very odd indeed.

Quite. A free kick inside the penalty area? I didn't realise the rules had changed that much . .

    I love my wolves,
Sammy cheung, bill mcgarry, John Barnwell,
    Mike Bailey great player
The doog magnificent Irishman, him and George best in the same national side,
Derek Parkin very underrated by England managers, Wagstaffe master of his game,
Kenny hibbett, cracking shot on him,
John Richards how on earth he never got a hundred caps ill never know,
Those seventies wolves teams were just so good.....

Stop the video at 1:04 and see the many Black and Asian people in the crowd enjoying the local team. Makes you realise things could have turned out better but took a wrong turn.It was a good few years before they felt safe enough to start coming again
