This 23 minute video makes more sense than any book or whitepaper I've read on this topic. Thank you so much. Great explanation with practical examples and context.
I love that the squeaky toy made it into the final cut. very realistic when you're a tech working from home. you may have to deal with squeaky toys, random barking, random screaming/crying, random interruptions for hug requests
if you add no-summary after the "area nssa " statement, it's called totally NSSA or not-so-totallytstubby area. use default-information-originate to inject a default route instead.
Hey seth, ive just passed icnd1 and doing icnd2 soon I hope well defo before feb, this vid really helped on understanding the area types in ospf , please continue making these vids man honestly there so easy to understand ! Love from london UK
Is there a difference by configuring OSPF on the interface vs using network command? I would think it's easier to put it within the OSPF configuration so it's all in one place.
You are welcome! I try to make videos as often as I can and about things that are not common on the internets. If you have any questions then let me know. I'll try and make a video on it. I have some CME VOIP vidz that I have in the Queue.
Thank you, to be honest, I have seen both but i would recommend implementing it on the interface level. Many people don't understand the network command properly and what it does...hence, I made a video on that. But other vendors, like juniper, don't use the network command.
@@ccnpseth4563 do you know if there is an issue with packet tracer with OSPF, like it doesn't advertise routes? Im having to do clear ip ospf process to make it advertise routes properly. I'm guessing GNS3 is better. Thanks for the response.
@@AllenAndersonTaylor my xp with packet tracer and ospf is exactly what you are describing. I have to do the same or save and reopen the project. Gns3 is better and my go to lab preference. I do not have an xp in bosom netsim. I heard good things about it though.
@@ccnpseth4563 this is a long shot, but do you think I could help me with my final project for college? I'm taking a class that is tied to CCNP Route. I'll pay you for your time.
7 years ago and its still helpful, thanks a lot
never seen any network engineering tutor who is this fun
love the vibe
Thank you enjoyed the video!

Thank you for this video, this was a healthy way to teach OSPF.

There is no difference, I would keep things under one section if possible but some configurations have to be under the interface, like authentication.
your dog is cute
Thanks its great

Thank You CCNP Seth
No problem
really good video
FlashSlash95 thank you
The force is strong with you bro. Question: From your experience, in the real world, is OSPF configured at the interface or with the network command?
