I have the ‘19 in red and I’d definitely love to have a single swing arm! I bought the full system Akro exhaust system and it sounds amazing! Having had Japanese sport bikes prior to this one, I really love that you don’t have to make too many modifications as it’s so stylish right out of the crate.
I was waiting for you to get on the V2 and see your genuine reaction to riding it for the first time given you already have a 959 but it never happened :( coming in a video soon??? Your mic set up is on point 👌🏻 if you do get round to riding one fingers crossed it’s got the full akra on!

Very good video!! V2 has the advantage of the quick shifter up/down and not just Up as it is in the last 959. With Akra also it is bit powerful than 959 with Akra. Better electronics and bit more beautiful at the back side. 959 is a great bike, I love it. V2 is the right evolution 👍👍
Disagree, styling looks way better especially the front, only thing the V2 has better is the color TFT and single sided swingarm. I am waiting for my new 959 with a couple of weeks.
Nice review mate, I bought my V2 last week, and now I am struggling to put on a new slip on, V2 akrapovic cost 4600 aus dollar, and I released panigale 959-1299 can use same slip on, so I took a risk, I bought a 1299 slip on from akrapovic and hopefully it will fit V2 next week.

The auto blipper, new display and LED’s make it worth the extra $. Used to own a ‘16 959. Great engine, gear box and clutch. But I’m waiting on a V2 Street Fighter. For me that would be the perfect set up. Claudio says it’s coming. 👍🏻
I’m looking to get my first bike. I did get to ride the 959 a few weeks ago and I loved it. And it’s in my price range I’m trying to keep it at. But that V2 looks amazing. I wish it came in white with the red rims.

I have one question as I'm currently deciding if I want to buy a new V2 or a used 959. Does the V2 get hot like the 959 does? You know that heat you really feel on your right leg.
Ive ridden for 8 years. My past bokes were a 07 zx6r a 2014 triumph daytona 675( wrecked it) and a 2016 triumph daytona 675. Traded the previous triumph in eith 33k miles on it( i use to ride alot) and got a matte white 2019 ducsti 959, i always wanted a panigale. I didnt go with the V2 because i dont wanna spend more. The one i bought was a demo with 300 miles on it. Im 100% happy with this thing. And i just subscribed. Ill be watching
Seeing flawless condition base 959's with under 8k miles for 10-11k online. Your corse is another league but I think I'd rather have it than a base V2 although the v2 is the new hotness! Their price right now is very fair for what you get considering Japanese bikes are MSRP over $13k sometimes.
I would like the V2,because of the Single sided swingers,LCD Dash plus the V4 body panels. I have a 2015 Monster 821,so I'm kinda tired of the Dash on the 959 !!
I would get the 959, IF it had the single sided swing arm. It just makes the bike look soo much better and it has been something Ducati bikes were known for having.

Sounds like you're not familiar with my channel or what I do... #1 subscribe #2 do a search for the bikes and you will find a plethora of videos for both.
V2 engine is different to the old 959. The 955 cc Superquadro engine was overhauled and now complies with Euro 5 standards. The engine is updated with new injectors and inlet ducts that help the motor produce five more horsepower than the outgoing Panigale 959.
The one on the left is high/low setting which stays throughout the ride. The one on the right is a high beam trigger button for emergency purposes I suppose.
I love my 959 for sure and because of the Price difference too, If its only the same price yes I would buy V2 just cause of the electronic package. But yea. I am pretty sure that V2 is same engine as 959, only main diff is externally and electronics. Just like getting a full package Car w/ GPS on it over a semi loaded one without a GPS on it.
If you’re in the U.S, it should be about $300.. they do oil / filter and computer upgrade if necessary and check recalls, etc.. after first service take it anywhere and do it yourself. V2 next service is about 7k miles but I usually do mine every 3K..
First service is just an expensive oil change and to get your name in the records. Absolutely do the first service at dealer than do it yourself for every other one....except valve checks. Ducatis stupid fucking desmotronic system sucks donkey balls trying to do it yourself

959 has quick up but not down like the V2 and V2 is only one with color display.

Late response here but the 959 2016 has 157ph the most HP out of all the 959 models and the V2 Has 152.8 but I believe the V2 has more torque?

Isnt the 959 corsa meant to be uncomfortable as its a track oriented version of the 959?
Not necessarily. Suspension is fully adjustable and the manual has presets outlined for street use.

It also weighs a tad more so the 5hp really doesn't mean much.
@@PetroHead Actual the weight is the same 176kg dry and 200kg wet.
