God, imagine if that went out today. Piers Morgan would pretend to be angry, for money and the hope of a TV Quick award. Holly Willoughby would pull a face and purse her lips whilst Phillip Schofield got serious, shortly before laughing about Gino's little sausage.
When you could put a sketch out on Childrens TV where, you had a white man playing an Indian guy serving a grown man taking a small boy out for dinner who makes fun of the Indian accent, oh and alcohol consumption.
This is just lazy comedy and promotes ridicule for an entire race of people, many of which lived in the UK… this was shown for children… it’s just so wrong. I love adult humour, I love Curb Your Enthusiasm, I think I have a good sense of humour, I’m not a huge fan of political correctness even! But this sketch is just pointlessly offensive and imagine being a British family of Indian heritage and watching this in your living room? How would you feel?
I am a British Indian and I thought it was hilarious! Would you be so kind as not to presume what we colored folk find offensive? It's otherwise known as having a sense of humor numbnuts! Sounds to me like you're the one being a racist.

Brilliant, and now for the weather. Hehe
Under SNPs hate crime bill, they would probably serve a fifty year sentence now, if they were ever to perform this sketch nowadays.
They can use offence necromancy to drag this up and jail them anyway.

To think this used to be a children's program lol. Pure comedy gold! I love racist comedy (even though it's not actually racist).
🤣🤣🤣
Lmao
I'm confused. He's wearing a turban, so he's a Sikh. But he says Allah which is Muslim.
it's a racist stereotype of that era for any Indian im sorry to say and hence asking for chopsticks in there (they all look alike ) was the undertone
An Imamah is a type of turban worn by some muslim men.
Lol, we are all the same to the ignorant Mark.
Many Indian restaurants are owned and run by Muslim Bangladeshies...
When Ian said to Jimmy that he should have ordered a curry, Jimmy didn't order any curry. Ian said a plate of chips
Philip Smith fair point
Jimmy had already said that he hates curry 0:07
Lol
I know they were not, but the pretence is a grown man hanging around with a school kid....we're bordering on Jimmy Saville territory here.
That's literally his wife
I just imagine if the cops did collar him and his defence was to turn around and say "No, its okay we are actually married".
Those were the days before Krankie went woke.
When did the Krankies go woke?
Back in the days of racist comedy.
Racist comedy for children which makes it even more chilling to watch. The 80s wasn't that long ago. How was society so backwards 😔
@@craigsibson6541 oh fuck off don't like it go else where

Yes, I agree, very anti-Scottish.
