This is the best and most informative presentation I have seen, as a caregiver 24/7 for my MIL with Dementia we have experienced first hand the side effects
Of some of these medications. Navigating through the pharmacology has been our biggest issue. This video should be in the handout when a loved one is diagnosed with Dementia. Thank you.

I couldn't agree more. All caregivers should listen and take note. My grandmother has Dementia and takes many medications due to Diabetes, cardiovascular and the list goes on. Some neurologists practicing do not take the time to review medication lists before prescribing the next med. For a geriatric patient, that should be the first thing to review. Thankfully, our pharmacist has caught these hiccups that have to do with interfering with blood pressure medications. Has anyone tried CBD oil with their loved one with Dementia? You hear about all the great things it can provide but have not read how it could interact with a Dementia patient. We're just SO over the pharmaceuticals and the numerous side effects they cause.

Important information. But it would be important to analyse combinations of a mixture of drugs. It is unreal to assume that medications/chemicals isolate themselves and don't combine and form new, unknown 'meds'. We know some pharmaceuticals are dangerous together, but who has studied the potential impact of, say, a combination of 15-25 different meds?

Sadly, I think a lot of patients are prescribed meds that they don't need, and end up paying the consequences of it. Too many physicians have poor diagnostic skills and/or are too lazy, too uninformed, too busy, and/or have egos that lead them to assume and not appropriately, thoroughly assess.
