13-year-old treble Malakai Bayoh sings virtuosic Mozart in Royal Albert Hall debut | Classic FM

- Young treble Malakai Bayoh takes to one of classical music’s most iconic stages, the Royal Albert Hall, to make his solo debut in front of a sold-out audience of 5,000 people at Classic FM Live.
With the English National Opera Orchestra and conductor Paul Daniel, Malakai sings the ‘Alleluia’ from Mozart’s ‘Exsultate, jubilate’.
His performance will be available on Sky Arts at a later date.

Unbelievable! Most opera singers train for many years to be able to sing a piece like this cleanly and in tune. To be able to sing like that at 13, after just a few years of training, is really special.
Unfortunately his treble voice will likely disappear at puberty which can't be far away. Let's hope he continues to develop his voice when it changes.

Even at this young age I'm sure he has practiced for many years. This doesn't just happen over night. It takes hard work and hours of practice. People think this just happens.... it doesn't.

Today I watched his performance on You Tube singing at ages 9 and 11. Both performances awesome. Such a talented and gifted young man. Both performances bought tears to my eyes. A fullness to my heart. This young man is going places. Sings like an Angel here on Earth. Spread your wings young man and fly high.
