Devkund waterfall is located near Bhira, Patnus. It is a 'plunge' waterfall pouring massive amounts of water on the rocky surface underneath. It is one of the most popular and best waterfalls of Maharashtra.
Since it went viral on social media, it has become extremely crowded. It is the confluence of three waterfalls and is said to be the origin of Kundalika River. It is about a three-hour trek from base village.
During Heavy monsoon, one should avoid this trek.
We did devkund waterfall in monsoon , but luckily didn't get much rain. Please do it in monsoon under expert guidance only.
Devkund Waterfall is an Easy one day trek near Mumbai and Pune.
How to reach Devkund by Public Transport ( Train and ST bus )
1) Mumbai to devkund waterfall ( best waterfall near mumbai ) :
- Take a Mumbai local to Khopoli (Central Line): Approx Rs. 60 including return.
- Khopoli station to Khopoli ST stand ( walk for 15 mins )
- Khopoli ST stand to Pali in ST bus (first bus at 7:30 AM and after that every 30-45 mins one bus) : Approx Rs. 120 including return.
- Pali to Bhira (bus frequency low, 6:15 AM, 8:45 AM, 10:15 AM, 1:45 PM, 3:00 PM, 4:00 PM, 5:30 PM): Approx Rs. 52 including Retun.
So total cost Mumbai to Bhira to Mumbai: Approx Rs.232
2) devkund waterfall pune :
- Pune to Karjat (any express train going to Mumbai that stops at Karjat): Approx Rs. 130 including return.
-Karjat to Khopoli (local train) : Rs. 20 including return.
- Khopoli station to Khopoli ST stand ( walk for 15 mins )
- Khopoli ST stand to Pali in ST bus (first bus at 7:30 AM and after that every 30-45 mins one bus) : Approx Rs. 120 including return.
- Pali to Bhira (bus frequency low, 6:15 AM, 8:45 AM, 10:15 AM, 1:45 PM, 3:00 PM, 4:00 PM, 5:30 PM): Approx Rs. 52 including Retun.
Total cost Pune to Bhira to Pune: Approx Rs. 322
You can also go by private vehicle to Devkund, parking is available at Bhira Village.
During devkund trek, you get to enjoy tamhini ghat, Kundalika Valley, Bhira dam, views of andharban forest.

Pali to khopoli st bus stand ke liye last bus kitne baje ki hogi
Around 8 PM I believe, please cross check when you go to Pali from Khopoli so that you can pace your trek accordingly

Hey just wanted to know what time did you start the trek and at what time it became so crowded.
We started at 7:30 AM (weekday) and reached Devkund by 8:50 AM. The crowd started coming by 9:30-9:45 AM. On weekday you can start at 6:00 AM.

Yes, Devkund is an easy trek and due to reels, it has been hyped up.. So people crowd it also on weekdays..

Guides are available at the entry. You don't need guide from start to end. Since there are a lot of people coming here, they stand at spots on the trail & guide you.
