Thank you for being honest about the difficulties that you’ve gone through and showing us that there can be life after cancer. You both seem to be in a really good place now, and I’m glad you’re still here with us and able to let us know you’re doing well. Congratulations on one year in remission!

People underestimate the effects of caring on the carer. Understandably, the focus of concern is all the victim of whatever, but the emotional toll of being caring, positive etc whilst watching one’s loved one suffer is tough on the carer. It’s great that you’re highlighting this.
My heart broke when I found out you were diagnosed.. But with love you are growing stronger! You are a strong guy and have an amazing boyfriend that helped take care of you! I adore you Scotty and you got this, and I know that’s a cliche thing to say “You’re strong, you got this” but it is a resounding truth with you! You are a great human and that will reflect throughout your life!

My best friend who's an Oncologist mentioned some time ago that he was often astonished at how folks who went into a long, difficult set of challenges found themslves discovering a heroic side of themselves and a cetain "calmness" that they did not believe that they were capable of before being surprised that they were so much more than they thought. I commented how unique that sounded and then it was my turn. To my great upside surprise, I felt the same way. I didn't want to whine or recite all the challenges I faced. I just wanted to focus on treading water until I got through all this. I'm still waiting for my taste buds to fully reengage 6 months after the last radiation treatment but it is gradually happening and small victories now seem so much more important than they ever did before. Love to you both and all those who cheered you on.

Congrats on your 1 year and continued sharing of your cancer story when things like cancer change your life people get really scared and emotional and all sorts of negative thoughts go through your head since it isolates you and you have no experience or anyone who has gone through it by telling people your story it can give hope and being connected and chase away those negative thoughts and fears so you are having maybe a bigger impact than you might think and Mike you stayed and shared with Scotty through a life changing ordeal that speaks volumes of how strong you love is between each other and being a gay couple with such a bond can inspire single people and couples that being with someone that will be there for them no matter what is attainable I wish you both continued health and success

Wow congratulations I just had cancer taken off my forehead I've had basal cell and squamous cell for the last 6 years every year it seems to comes back and the radiation is exhausting sending you love from Cape Cod Massachusetts
My 2 favorite people on the internet ,u 2 have been to hell and back you have each other and that is what really counts,you cut through all the bullshit and let all of us know what is important in this screwed up life,LOVE,thanks so much for reminding us to clear out the bullshit and hold on to each other

sorry screen. friggn models, literally, body from heaven, the most beautiful smiles, all that blasted talent, hair to die for and those heavenly eyes. boys no matter what else you must face in life, the two of you can conquer it or learn to adapt to it...as long as you do it together.
i've just come past the 1 yr anniversary of loosing my partner (i wish husband) of 30 years. i thought i would actually die too.....but here i am. we went through 4 years of my father and a heart that would not work and then 3 years of mother having congestive heart failure. with him (kenneth / my partner) at my side we made dr's appts, hospital appts, just because appts, bringing in hospice for both of them and the best part funeral arrangements and dealing with family to come in from across the usa. the heart to what i'm trying to say is......you can do it. whatever it is the two of you can do it. some days you might not like each other very much, but i bet you go to bed still loving that (&#^&()_ that spent the day driving you crazy. you may get a little worn around the edges, but you can handle it. it's taken me a long while to learn that God does not make mistakes. please hold on to each other as tight as you can, one day you will be glad that you did. love and kisses to you both.....sincerely, johnny
Johnny, I lost my partner, too, and I will never never get over it. The love of my life. My best friend. When I pass, we will once again be together.
What a great charming video. Mike is a definite treasure. He ain't just a pretty face. He's husband material a 1000 times over. I know he made light of the ordeal but that is just part of his charm. It obviously was hard on him, too.

What’s up man, I’m gay too, I have cerebral palsy I use walker and wheelchair I’m 32, I found out I had testicular cancer back in November of 2019 they removed one of my ball, I’m doing good now! I tried to go to college to be a anesthesiologist after I graduated high school in 08 but it was gonna be too hard because of my cerebral palsy, so now I Donate to the anesthesiologist Foundation! You have sexy toes! Do y’all like hocking loogies? I do lol
