And hey get subscribed because this is just the start. Years of Starfield content are coming...starting right now
I can't wait for tomorrow.
Well I can't wait for the 6th because that is my birthday, and my farther promised to buy me a gaming PC and Starfield
@@bean4450 happy birthday!
@@growghosg9034Thank You
I personally never believe the negative comments it's Bethesda it's not like they're BioWare or CD projekt Red they're a decent company who make great games so I've had my faith in them
Just waiting for the adverts to finish. This comment is a spoiler lol take it you love it
'This isn't actually the ending' made me chuckle. Really enjoyed this early review delivery Juice!
It's the ending isn't it
outerworlds but on steroids
Finally, we can move past the ridiculous phase of crazy speculation and just see some honest gameplay.
It wasn't crazy speculation so much as it was blind hype.
yeah can't wait for the "can't belive this isn't no man sky" crowd to leave me alone so I can enjoy this game
@@commietearsdrinkerobjective opinions all around eh?
I’m glad the direct wasn’t actually smoke and mirrors
@commietearsdrinker I wouldn't even call it blind. The words bethesda used to market this game were pretty crazy. If they would have just been more open with how systems work without spoiling the loop or story/quests then it would have been far better.
Bethesda games are best when modded to the absolute limit, can't wait to see this game evolve over the next year - decade.
Looking back on what Fallout 4 modding community achieved, the future is bright for Starfield
I’m not playing star field until it’s been out for at least a year and has mod support. I’m about to play cyberpunk 2077 when dlc comes out but I’m worried about downloading a bunch of mods then the game gets an update and I have to start a new game.
@@someguynamedav7947I’m about to get back into fallout 4 and Skyrim once I get my gaming PC
@@obiden5286well they called it cyberpunk 2.0 for a reason. You'll be fine without mods for 1 play through. I do think they've added enough to keep most people occupied for a bit while all the mods get updated to the current patch
@@someguynamedav7947 while fallout 4's community has achieved a lot, it's still in its infancy compared to skyrim. I hope whatever is holding fallout 4 back from all the crazy groundbreaking frameworks from dropping on a weekly basis doesn't extend to starfield, or conversely that starfield doesn't make it dead in the water.
I ended up clocking 140 hours with the review code and boy oh boy... I feel as if I've barely scratched the surface
Sleep..what’s that?
I can't wait to play. 7 hours left!
I saw you say this on Mattys video too lol
dude's probably looking for attention @@kennypowers1945
How can you guys play for hours, if I play for 40 minutes my head will start hurting and my dopamine receptors get fried lol, I love the game though
Can't appreciate you enough for all your coverage. Thank you so much.
LETS GOOOO so excited!! Thanks for the quick upload
I love how intricate the base building system is. Seems like it may throw a lot of people off, but design nerds are going to love having to really sit down and plan things out!
Can you please say more about it?.. I’m interested in the base building part.. will there be interior decors can you sit down on sofa, can you farm? Etc..
@@ujayetI’m assuming you can you could in fo4 build dog houses your dog would lay build couch’s radios and more so id assume Evan more stuff then fo4
The problem with building in Fallout 4 and 76 is exactly what you wrote. Basically its appeal is limited to dollhouse makers and interior decorators. It leaves out any intricacy for other groups who like building such as people who like colony managers and process and automation. The outpost builder shouldn't exist for only one subsection of the player-base.
He said you could just start base building off rip, but other reviewers said it's definitely more end game content. Just an fyi. I personally want to build a base quickly and that knowledge was useful to me.
Except the fact there is a new game plus, which removes all your buildings, makes me not even want to build.
Bro. You had me at “Skyrim in space”
Another very good review! Helping us temper down our expectations, while also getting us more excited to play!!
Great video man!
So glad you liked it!
Dude I love your videos. You have one of the best voices and cadence on CZcams. Clear, concise and full of tons of information!
first review i've found on my for you page. well done on posting the minute the embargo lifted. have been watching for almost a year now waiting for this game to release, thank you!
Juice, I love and trust you man, but when you mentioned the ending and it cut to an ethereal scene floating in nothingness gave me a subtle heart attack. Thank you for the warning haha
This!
My heartfelt disappointment:
No outer *space* travel - In an open world *space* game?
Todd Howard: "We let you design and build your own ship. And yes, you can fly it."
Fly it, or 'fast travel it', Todd ?
You can fly wherever you want.
@@drunkensailor112you fast travel
@@WarriorsRespiteTherapy you can fly to any planet. It just takes a while
@@drunkensailor112 No, you fly to a PNG in the skybox. It doesn't do anything.
Honestly I'm not worried, 10% of planets with life: plants & animals. Thats 100 planets because theres over 1000 planets. But wat u didn't take into account is those other planets can have structures, caves, bases, crashed ships, mines, outposts, random encounters, gas deposits, resources, crashed meteors (Resource Heavy), gorgous views on 1000+ planets.
Yes the gorgeous views, and as a completionist I’m excited to tackle 100% scanning every planet
If people haven't been paying attention: space is fucking barren. Let me know when we discover other planets that aren't just rocks and gas but full of life and fauna.
Yeah and plus the 100 planets with the most content is still pretty crazy, that’s a lot of gameplay to be had just on those 100 alone
It's going to make finding those 10% amazing and a feeling of accomplishment. It wouldn't be as special if there was loads of planets with life on them.
That worked for exactly none of the other games that tried it first
Thanks for all your coverage and a very even handed review. The last few days with all the silly drama kinda soured me, so it's nice to hear someone review and discuss without so much fervor.
It's really refreshing to see such a huge Bethesda fan being this honest about the faults of the game. Too many people are either calling it terrible or calling it a masterpiece. So when someone like you says it's great but not perfect, I can believe it.
Great video man, really enjoyed it! Cant wait to go into it myself.
Just wanted to say thank you for all the updates and stuff one of the only sources I trust
Longer I watch this review the more I'm sold on the game. Preload here we come!
Really? The more it went on, the more tired he sounded about the game.😢
@@Michaelxl14he's probably just tired in general, he marathoned this thing
@Michaelxl14 it I think it simply does some things well and others not so well same as all the fallout. Preston is awful and the settlements literally suck without modding so kinda same as this right?
Balanced and honest review, what I expected.
Thanos approves.
Incomplete impressions labeled as a review
@@kyriosmalaka2312 Man has 100 hours in the game. If by that point his review is still an "incomplete impression" then what is required to make a review ? Visit all planets, talk to all NPCs, kill very mob, level up every skill ?
@@mythicdawn9574 Lets start with describing the basic mechanics of the game better than somebody who didn't have early access. But since it was such a good review, I probably missed what you didn't. Can you tell me what kind of ships the ship builder can make? Can you describe the flight model? You can do what his review didn't. And if you want to know why this video is incomplete impressions then listen to his intro ... with open ears this time. He'll tell you exactly why.
JuiceHead had to be my first review. I love you, JuiceHead🐐
I've been waiting the day of your review for so long. This is the best review among all the reviewers!
Awesome review man! Can’t wait to drop in with early access.
Juice your review's are always the best and honest. Keep up the hard work
Seems like a good well rounded bgs game and thats all i wanted. I can see myself spending hundreds of hours making ships, landing them on planets and just looking at them. I have over 1600 hours in Space Engineers just making ships in creative. So that part that most people might ignore might be the only reason i keep playing the game for a really long time and i love it.
same here, there's so much going on in just the first 10ish hours I've played that I think it will be a fun one to binge and set aside a few times in the coming years. Plus it's cool seeing a new fully fleshed-out world from BethSoft that doesn't have decades of history to catch up on. the whole world's figuring this one out for the first time ever and that's not something you get every day, and it's not something the people who are going to wait a year or two will get, though I fully respect the decision to hold off for mods or more polish if that's what they prefer.
Been waiting for your review, can't believe Starfield is finally here!!
I hope they add a survival mode at some point
If they don’t modders will
for sure, chugging the whisky juice boxes and scarffing down sandwhiches while im planet hopping has always been a dream of mine
Literally same why even have food lol
Would be great, not sure how it would work though since the game seemingly massively relies on fast travel.
Survival mode will likely consist of higher/max damage output enemies with more health, harsher environmental consequences (weather that can kill you, maybe radiation or ambient atmosphere that can damage you if it doesn’t already exist) and of course a harsher “basic needs” system, where you’ll need to monitor things like hunger and thirst, instead of just oxygen/Co2. I doubt they will remove fast travel, as it’s a key component to how the game functions.
This is the best review done so far! Much respect! No hate felt in it. The other guy "Luke something" was super charged of hate and even before the launch of the game. Going forward will put my time in your channel for trusted reviews.
Watching your review first - thanks for putting this together!
I went throught different review to prepare myself for the journey, this one so far is the best, thank you very much for the video :).
the one thing i've noticed the most from these revieiws and gameplay impressions is that the faces look quite a bit better than in the Direct, imo. They look much more detailed now and the animations are timed a bit better.
That's what I was noticing too! They definitely don't look so...stiff anymore lol
They look horrible, what are you talking about?
@@GooglywinkerHe said they look "better", not "good". There's a difference.
@@bi0h4z4rd4 Fair enough.
also... they don't look horrible at all.. For-gotten.. sorry Forspoken faces.. are HORRIBLE... ( that game was hyped for 3 years) and barely ANYBODY is trashing that 1/10 2/10 metaCr
it literally had and HAS the worst meteoritic.. and NOBODY is trashing forspoken that was supposed to be a BIG part of PS5 sellers 2023... but. it was horrible.
SO forspoken faces are SH**.. these faces are actually good for a 1,000 hour game.
Can’t wait to dive into a Hardcore difficulty playthrough 🎉
Only review I care about. Thanks for all your dedicated content JuiceHead. You’ve worked really hard and we’re all really grateful :)
been watching for awhile. love the content
Can you imagine when mods come, all those planets with nothing of quest importance, could have a whole storyline added by a dedicated mod developer.
They’re gonna mod in their own planets probably. Skyrim planet inbound
@@jakecrabtree2471 Haha that'd be crazy if possible.
Restored earth. I can see a bunch of modders just making their cities and putting it in a pack like a colab.
when will they come?
If I were a modder, I'd leave all the base stuff alone and add my own system / planet(s). Not to say folks won't simply override existing planets, but with the tech available, it certainly isn't required to go that route I'd imagine.
I'll tell you what I think about this game, but first, let's just wait for this loading screen. And another one. Just a minute. Brb.
Awesome review. Im a new subscriber now. Can't wait to play
Thanks! As always love your stuff!
Finally a review.
Honest review, really appreicated, I think a lot of this game is for me and it has the kind of depth I'm looking for cant wait to play!
That was a good review Juicehead. Thank you!
I'm already watching the streams of the game play! I'm glad people are enjoying it
This sounds like what I was hoping it’d be, can’t freaking wait to play tonight

One of the more balanced, informative reviews I've seen - thank you!
this all sounds exactly as i was expecting, looking forward too it
Thank you for going more in depth about the negatives! All the reviews I've watched so far focus overwhelmingly on the positives and spent like 5 seconds on the cons...
Very excited for a more complex and in-depth crafting system
Something I normally love, but NMS' POS inventory system has given me some severe trauma.
Thanks for the review. I'll wait till it goes on sale.
I love this video good job!!!
Works for me. It may not revolutionize gaming, but I've been wanting a sci fi BGS game, and this looks like it does what I want. Gonna try to dive in this weekend.
I’m glad the outposts are very deep. If the onboarding is bad then that kinda sucks, but my goal for my initial playthrough is to start out as some space pirate type guy and transition to a captain of industry. Pure evil
I love your honest review of the game!! So far you have the most critiques which makes me happy. Super excited about the polish despite the flaws!
Another great video - Thanks Juice
I was planning to play through the main story line first and then with NG+ play a 2nd play through doing all the side quests and exploration. Would there be any significant cons to this?
It would be great if you could pre-fab outposts, like save a layout that you spend a lot of time building on a planet, and as long as you have the materials you could just spawn it in.
Good concept. Tears of the kingdom did spoil us.
imagine getting a ship big enough for a proper cargo bay and dropping a self-assembling base from low orbit like a bomb
Thank you for your review - it was nice to see both what was liked, and what was not.
Been a long time we been waiting finally its almost time
This is such a comprehensive review of all the things I was interested in knowing. Im hoping maybe like the robots dlc in fallout 4, vehicles may come later???
Vehicles will be here within a week or two I guarantee it. Modders wet dream this is.
@@mattrobertson8793Man i hope, not having ground vehicles is such a miss. Game's gonna be so much fun if we'd have it
With how planet exploration works in this game, vehicles will be useless. I never understood why this was such a sticking point with people.
@@mattrobertson8793 "dont worry, modders will make this game good" #bethesdamakesthebestgamesever
@@Russelshackleford a little atv would make runs back to the ship a lot less tedious. 4-6min walks back to the ship will add up insanely with a game of this scope. Now if there’s an instant fast travel back to your ship/landing pad that null and voids this concern completely. (But a lil atv would also just be so much fun)
I want and am expecting Skyrim and Fallout 4 in space, which means based on JuiceHead’s comments that I’m going to be delighted. I don’t expect perfection, because a game of this scope would be near impossible to do currently (ie full immersion and universe simulation). I was surprised in one sense to see his critique stating it’s not a 10/10 game for him, as I had expected it if I’m honest from the level of coverage, and to describe the main quest as getting ‘tedious’ at points is also a huge surprise. I appreciate the honest review though, and it’s better we temper expectations than get over hyped to the point of expecting true perfection.
Great review!
Good Review Bro!!!!!
cant wait for Lover's lab mods
Bro im already in love with Sarah. Im counting the days CBBE becomes available 😞
Finally! A review that mentions HOTAS/Joystick support! I assumed it wouldnt have it but good to get confirmation
BOOM 💥 Review time!!
Excellent review! Can't wait to dig into Starfield!
Game looks amazing, can’t wait to play tomorrow
I thought there would be a twist, to much info buddy lol love ur vids
What you said about the Crafting System and base building, as a Survival game player I have to say, I love what I hear! More than anything else though I can't to see what the modders do!
Great review, thx! You may want to add 'SPOILER FREE' in title, or the description, as I almost past it up just to be sure.
I, as well as many others I imagine, have no idea that the spoiler free aspect is part of the early access rules for all reviewers.
It might bring in a few like me that almost past it up just to be safe.
Glad I didnt! I really like the longer form, more detailed review!
Can’t wait for mods to start rolling out
Wait so im a little confused. How do i discover landing spots without walking on foot to find it randomly.? Do you mean you only find these scenes within missions & such?
glad you enjoyed it -- time to jump in tonight!
"I'm not gonna spoil the game"
Proceeds to repeatedly spoil the game
We shouldn’t expect a pitch perfect launch with any game but this game seems to have one of the best launches since Elden ring with the bugs and content
I was thinking about blowing through the main story and then doing everything else on new game plus. Would you recommend that?
Thank you for the review.
Would love to hear what the performance was when playing on 1080p without upscaling. Other than that seems like a reaaally good and honest review. 👌
probably really rough. i have a 3080ti in my system and at 1440p WITH upscaling, its usually 70-80 fps on max settings for less demanding areas but in like new atlantis depending on where i am it can drop to the low 60s with the occasional 50s. its pretty wild
@@GigaChadAlucard well then I'm glad I upgraded when Remnant 2 came out. AMD 7800 3XD and 4070 should just be enough to enjoy this game
@Rub-A-Duck i will say the 4070 is about as powerful as a 3080 And there's no DLSS or frame gen implemented in the game to widen that gap. So you'll likely see very similar numbers that I am seeing. Tho you did mention 1080p so that might be ok
Can't wait to upgrade my rig later this year cus I won't play at any less than 1440p for my personal setup lol
@@GigaChadAlucard ye that is what I was hoping for. 60-70 fps seems to be my target with this game. Yes I use 1080, because I refuse to pay with performance loss when I'm happy with fluent 1080. I don't even want to test 1440 because then I probably can't go back 😂👌
man i’m gonna have to come back to this, stay strong boys n gals if you have early access HOLD OFF WATCHING VIDEOS.
IM SO TEMPTED BUT I MUST NOT WATCH
Thanks for putting a quick "should you buy" message right at the front! Don't want any spoilers so turned volume to zero and gave you a thumbs ups. Will let it play out so you get the vull view and give you a thumbs up!
the facial animations and body animations look as good as Cyberpunks
's.
Is it a good RPG? Or does it have the writing of Fallout 4?
We must've been playing two different Starfields because all the enemies I've fought appeared to be borderline retarded lol
my biggest question on preformance is was the FPS you showed in full screen, windowed screen or borderless window mode and wonder if preformance suffer as much as previous BGS title when switching from full screen to a windowed mode
I can't wait!
ALREADY 100 HOURS
Early access but only allowed to now talk about it.
Media, not actual fans, people who work for Corporations that can spin it however they want and never be honest about the game. Im not wasting money on this. and Since so many blindly praise the game, nothing of value will be learned. Consume Product, shut up and wait for next product.
Yea.. NO.
exactly, it’s hilarious how a company can make no innovations and make the same shallow slop and still be as praised as Bethesda. “It’s basically Skyrim in space” is amazing unless you’ve played literally any other RPG that actually tries to have some depth.
Mediocre writing, half the quest are fetch quest, mediocre ques design. God it’s so bland. I’ve lost faith that elder scrolls 6 will be anything worth mulling over.
Can you use meds and food right in front of you without opening your inventory? And also, any melee or Stealth finishers?
Can't wait to play it!
25:45 FSR works with Nvidia and Intel graphics cards the same way it works with AMD
I think what he means is that DLSS is much more powerful than FSR (but requires an Nvidia) and so it's a bit dumb they did not include DLSS support for people who want to push things further than FSR.

@@mythicdawn9574 dunno, I can't see my previous comment for some reason. Anyhow, moore's law is dead explains why starfield is missing dlss and why performance on Nvidia cards is poor
Todd Howard!! If this is what we are going to get from your future titles like the Elder Scrolls and Fallout, PLEASE don't make any more of them. Go back and replay your older titles, e.g. Morrowind and prior, and try to figure out how to make good RPG's again!!!
what specs are you running I have a 3080 and been trying to figure out how much of an ipact recording software is going to have on performance
First review I've seen where they managed to turn off vsync, kudos!
Have you checked how it was with lower resolution, and does the game physics become wonky at 100+ fps?
I'm actually kind of glad that the main quest for Starfield doesn't really have major stakes involved like past Bethesda games sometimes its nice to not have a "Find My Son" or Find My Father" or The World is Ending" hanging over my head while I am doing side content. Plus I wasn't really expecting Bethesda to reinvent the wheel I just want a fun Bethesda game and that sounds like exactly what we are getting.
From what I have gathered as Im nearing the end, but I know what's going on, there are major stakes, but not what we're used too really. It is definitely very existential, but not in a threat way, more philosophical. Ill leave it at that.
I can't wait for mods to make this a star wars simulator in 2 years
I’m the type of person that plays red dead just to pet my horse and wonder around 🤷🏾♂️ this is a perfect game for me…
I'm curious what the high end system your using to get 70ish fps to compare to my rig. Thanks for the great review!
