    As a little girl in Norway she spent a lot of time in the forest with the animals day and night. She was terrified of performing at first but wanted to share her music and thoughts. For a different side of Aurora watch Cure For Me. A more upbeat song with another serious message.😊

    Welcome to the magical Aurora!!! All her performances are a work of art. She's a true artist(also from Norway like Angelina Jordan). Her song Runaway alone has over 500 million views. She's been writing songs since she was about 9. She has become a huge international star because of her beautiful personality combined with her music which she creates herself. She's also an interpretive dancer and plays piano beautifully. She has several albums already and just turned 27 years old June 15th.

    Greetings from Scotland! Aurora is best "discovered" slowly because she is (as far as I am concerned) the other incredibly unique singer in this world today! She has a totally different perspective of the world around her than most of us do. As you get to know this incredibly different and unique singer, you will see what I mean. Take your time and listen to her beauty through her music. She wrote some of her best works starting at 11yo and since then she has created a world of different music! Everything you hear is pure Aurora. Very emotional and raw experience. I recommend listening to her songs more than once, just to get the full story she is telling.

    Great reaction. Liked and subscribed. I believe she was nineteen in this performance.
    Aurora is a singer, songwriter and producer from Norway. She began teaching herself piano at age six, began writing her songs at nine, and has never had a music lesson. She did have formal dance lessons for about ten years beginning at age six, and it shows in some of her performances and videos. If you choose to go down the Aurora rabbit hole you are in for a real treat. One place to start is with the rest of this concert at Nidarosdomen, the national cathedral of Norway. Enjoy.

    This concert was given at Nidarosdomen, the cathedral of Trondheim, Norway, a place full of symbols and memories of this land. All the songs she did here had specific instrumentation for this concert. Which means it's not her usual genre of music. But her music is really varied, and beyond that, she is able to adapt her songs from a guitar and two voices (or acapella, even) to a full philharmonic orchestra, or strings and a choir like here, or her usual band with synths or in acoustic set up, changing the tempos, the vibe, depending on her own mood, location or whatever.
    To me, when she sings, she's as interesting to watch as she is to listen to, as she's always immersed in her songs, "focused" on living/delivering her songs in the best way at that moment in the venue (so it can vary a lot, but being "spectacular" is never the goal).
    Just to compare, you should check out privately the live version from nobel peace prize concert 2015, the most famous, I guess (a guitar and two voices... and huge talent: it's absolutely mind blowing🙂)...

    Finally you discovered Aurora, I'm so happy. Big big rabbit hole ahead.
    This one was recorded at a Chrismas concert, at Nidarosdomen in Trondheim/Norway.
    The full concert is a masterpiece and is a must watch.
    I suggest you to see (not necessary react to) the same song recorded at the Nobel Peace Price Concert in 2015.

    I'm in the same boat. I just discovered her 2 days ago. She is a musical prodigy. Writing her first big song when she was only 11. I have seen enough of her now to see that everything comes natural to her. Her lyrics are very touching and sometimes heart wrenching. Every song you hear from her will touch you.

    You will get some great suggestions from her fans, but just this concert which is one hour long is a huge undertaking. There is the orchestra, a choir, her band, harp and the cathedral pipe organ used on different songs. Every one is worth close listens...(my own favorite is "Lucky")

  • @NicolasTatro
    @NicolasTatro Před rokem +1

    Thank you for your reaction. It is truly "hypnotic and haunting." Far better, though, are two other songs in this December 2017 cathedral concert: "Through the Eyes of a Child" and "Lucky." I suggest you give them a listen. They are perhaps the most spiritual, chills-inducing live performances that she has ever done.

      Aurora is more of a composer, arranger and producer (world class producer) than a fully fledged singer (I'm going to trigger many of her fans here (of which I'm one). Another Norwegian talent, 9 1/2 years older than Angelina Jordan. Give her more chances! Listen to her work and you may come around.. 🙂
