Here's my little tip hold the bonnet and put it done slowly, then press the bonnet with good amount of pressure were the bonnet spring lock is. I can't stand watching people dropping the bonnet from a height and letting it slam . It's cringe worthy.
It's better to drop it, pressing it hard can go wrong denting the hood, never had any issues dropping my hood on any of my cars, as long as you don't slam them down it's good
