  • Today, Damien shows off his new S CLC, the super cookie leveling contraption. His old design only allowed him to do only one cookie or small slab at a time; whereas the new design allows him to do up to 30 cookies and large slabs. It also includes a built-in vice system to make securing the wood even easier.

In regards to the loosening of the locking nut at the end of the three meter long threaded rod for your vice, tightening a second nut against the original nut will usually lock the first nut, preventing it from loosening. From the video it does not look like you have room to thread a second nut on the end, perhaps if you have room to recess the wooden hole further so that the first nut could thread on further, making room for a second nut. Optionally, if you could get someone to weld the nut onto the threaded rod, but then you would not be able to remove or disassemble the vice. Great video, I'd like to see this leveling contraption is operation. Have a nice day!

Damien, you are slowly becoming an engineering genius! As an engineer, I like what I see.
If you carry on doing reviews on your large 'contraption' devices, are you going to have any room left in your workshop to do any actual woodworking?

I have many more plans for big projects, with the biggest thing stopping me being 'where do I put these giant contraptions?'
Currently undergoing a rearrangement in the workshop to fit this new monster in easier. Going to have to put in a request for an extention to fit in the new things like a resin curing oven. If that fails then I guess I can go without walking space.

May be a basement or mezzanine level will suffice. Depends on the agreement with the landlord!!
