    Thanks for a good review. I have looked at this but the flaws in corrosion and basic design misses such as fork 😮 and kickstand indicate no deal….. I’ve similar experience of 50cc, a Kisbee and a Baotian, same age and mileage. The Chinese is falling apart, plastic cracking and corrosion everywhere while the French/Indian design holds up perfectly.

    since the wheel is also the motor my guess would be they would not like to damage the place where the bearings/ radlager are. i read they had to replace entire motors/wheels if the bearings collapse, i read that about SYM scooters used with couriers, that use has been excluded of warranty although they advertise that the scooters are ideal for that use ....

    I travel about 27 km a day in average with my electric scooter (a Chinese one but not a NIU, and it's just a 45 km/h moped, ”EU moped”) and so far I rode it a little more than 30000 km (30 Mm) without any serious problems yet. It just works and I never even brought it in for service. I love those electric two-wheelers, there's not much on them that can break. I've only had some minor problems, like the brake switches a few times and the switch for the side stand no longer works properly, so it no longer stop you from driving with the side stand down. Maybe I should at least fix that at some point.
    I have thought of buying A NIU next time, and I found the information in this video valuable.
    Maybe the Seat MÓ would be a better fit for you? I think the top speed is a little more than 90 km/h and the battery is at 5600 Wh and you can pull it around, since they are on wheels. It weighs about 40 kg, so stairs would probably be an issue. I have been thinking about buying one myself, but I would have to carry it 24 steps up and 24 steps down every day, so maybe not for me.

    Hi, many thanks your regular reviews of the NIU scooter. They gave me the confidence to buy a 2021 GTS Pro with close to 10k on the clock. Now, after a couple of months using it, I have noticed that the batteries are not depleting at the same rate. One has consistently less capacity than the other, for example, at the moment one is at 79% and the other at 73% capacity. Could you or anyone else commenting here found the same problem and, if so, could this be an issue? Also, the fork seems a bit loose, has anyone come across with a video explaining how to tighten it? Thanks!!!

    • @prometeusz.jasinski
      @prometeusz.jasinski  Před rokem +1

      This may be the software bug which is present at my scooter. It manifests itself as follows: you charge the batteries fully but you ride only a couple of km and charge is still above 90%. Then you switch the scooter off and leave it for some time. Suddenly one of the two batteries is reported to have full charge again. You would get a notification and you would see it in the charge diagrams.

    Hello Prometeus,
    Thanks a lot for the video you have already helped me a lot with your presentation!
    I am really thinking of buying the Niu you have. The thing is that my plan is to make the double km distance than you do, 120-140km per day (60-70 to the work then charge the bateries 8h and after 60-70km back home) at top speed.
    Do you think that is posible?

    • @prometeusz.jasinski
      @prometeusz.jasinski  Před 2 lety +2

      Hi Borodin, I have no issues with that. The only burden is the charger which does not fit into the scooter. This was fixed with the niu has fixed this with the Mqi -GT (not Nqi-GT) www.niu.com/de/product/mqi-gt but unfortunately the batteries there are smaller and real 70km are not an option anymore at high speed. If I need to carry my charger I put it between my legs in a waterproof bag. This is not optimal and boxes at the back of the scooter I simply don't like.

      I also ride my Honda Vision 110 in wintertime and also in very bad weather (including freezing temperatures).
      The newprice of the Vision is 2.350€ here in Belgium 😁
      Almost no rust or corrosion after 11.000 km’s, and I ride 8.000 km every year with it.
      The fuel consumption on the highway on your commute to work at topspeed (always will hold 90 km/u) will be around 3,7 liters/100 km. So your 60 km commute every day will cost you around 4,2 Euro’s per day. So about 15€ per week 🙂
      Only on the exhaust there is a bit rust, but that is normal. I can strongly recommend the Honda Vision 110 with confidence for a very good if not better alternative for your apparently medium-quality NIU e-scooter 👍🏻 you will be suprised of the premium build quality of the Honda Vision 110i 😉
