As a recovering addict myself, I have known that pain and it f3ls as tho u are drowning in darkness. 8 years sober now and rehab was a road I took many times but, that's not what helped me. Many of you I'm sure have heard of the 12 step program, my success has been because of the 1 step program .....Jesus Christ! Need I say more? Keep up the fight, one day at a time, call on The Lord! Your music is like he's speaking to me. We just lost my dad to Cancer and I've been trying to help my mom back up but the world has only knocked us back down. But your music gives us hope. Especially, how many times, and worthy of love. Thank you for being you. A light in our darkest hour.

I've been watching this since it dropped. My girl made me find this song again tonight and we listed to like 5 Joe Nester tracks ! I am in love with the new one "how many times". I got 6 yrs in recovery and will listen to Joes songs forever. I can't imagine the even greater impact his lyrics would have on me if I was still in active addiction.
I myself have battled addiction... I have 3 years clean and sober from methamphetamine. But that's not what this song helped me with.... I'm going through a lot of shit right now and I have no one to turn to so I choose music. I came across this song and suddenly everything I was feeling just lifted from my shoulders.... I may not know you personally but damn it I can feel the hurt and deception you've been through.... Thank you so much for letting me know that I'm not alone in this game we call life.....
