high time you grew up, sunny: all that does not nor will ever belong to you, will never be returned to you, God forbid. Yours truly, The 7th Earl of Elgin
@@thomasnikou75 wrong answer: go back to start. The Colonial Turkish Government, represented by Ibrahim Pascha, who resided in Ioannina, sold them to the VII th Earl of Elgin. This was an honest business transaction all the way, or don't you know, what honesty is ?? The most Honourable Lord Elgin paid the money for them out of his own pocket, no bank credit, no corrupt Greek government of thieves involved, and donated the Marbles to the British Museum which belongs to the British People. Today, theoretically speaking, the Greek government could buy them back, but since the rightful Government of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, which has been elected by the People of Britain, does not nor will ever sell them or stupidly "give" them back for "kudos" value - why on earth should they do so ??- , you can do nothing about it. Why not stop moaning and begging for a handout? This is childish and an embarrassing thing to do: or are you a childish person who never grew up and is not responsible for what he does ?? On the other hand, if the Revolutionaries of the 21st of April 1967 were still in power, Greece would be a reliable partner and far better off financially (whereas "you" have no money, who wouldn't know that ?) and maybe negotiations could be held in dignity. However, the way things are today and will be for an unforseeable future, the Elgin Marbles will remain property of the British People and stay where they are. Basta. Plenty of questions you owe me an answer to.

Excellent film, and a wonderful museum, one could stay there for a month and not see everything
