He wastes time, instead of throwing an incomplete pass and stopping the clock, he can chew time to win the game.

@@HT-sm9dm he wants to chew clock on 4th down, but still wanted to kick the field goal. A flag stops the clock and you’re also guaranteed the win. A knee is a waste of a down when he needed the field goal ina time game. He didn’t want to leave any time remaining on the clock since 40k was on the line.
@@ohBoolooz how is a knee a waste of a down when you lose a down when you get sacked anyhow? This makes no sense. The clock would’ve ran down to 0 anyway.
If you take a knee the play itself is 1.5 seconds then you waste play clock but if hike the ball and you just sit there and wait to be sacked you’ll waste about 5-6 seconds then waste more playclock
