Daihatsu is no more in Europe. a shame. In NL it has been very popular since 1978, but the cars became too expensive in Europe, despite the great reputation. I still enjoy my Trevis ( Mira Gino) and one day I hope this sympathetic car make will return.....

This car is even better looking than the Chevrolet Spark. I think this car would be awesome to have in the United States.
It's rebadged as a Perodua Myvi in Malaysia. A high-end model for Perodua brand cars nowadays.
I like Daihatsu, rn i am using an old rebadged Daihatsu Mira from 1996. Old but gold car.
Mira E:S base and Axia base are totally different, from the dimension till the engine and other equipment, Axia sisters is Agya, Ayla, and Wigo especially in Southeast Asia market all of those three has the same base created by Astra Daihatsu Motor, meanwhile the Daihatsu Mira E:S (which specially created for Japanese Domestic Market (JDM) totally different from the SEA Versions, because the Japanese one are smaller in dimension and Engine capacity, meanwhile the SEA are bigger in dimension and Engine capacity.
@@ramadhas.n.s4607they're not totally different at all. The reason why the dimensions are different are because of the bodykit and exterior styling. It's just that the chassis which Astra Daihatsu Motor also used is the same and toyota and perodua just make adjustments to fit their region's market needs. All in all it's neither Astra Daihatsu Motor or Perodua's chassis but a Japanese origin chassis

The Daihatsu Mira is still the coolest car around. So sad Daihatsu retired from Germany/Europe, used ones (2007 model) are getting really expensive now!
Yep I live in The Netherlands and we own a 2008 mira(cuore). It is such a fantastic car. I hate it that Daihatsu stopped the european market. I would buy a new one right away.

@@robertbruce2182 Its not a Mira... for Daihatsu, its called the Ayla Astra. For Toyota, its either called the Agya or the Wigo. And for Perodua, you already know.

in my country (indonesia) this car call Daihatsu ayla.. but it's little bit different headlight & tail light and different dashboard and more less fiture (cost cutting).. but we have 1.2 liter 4 cyl engine with dual vvti with 5 speed manual.

У этой машины не отключается 4вд. Это очень плохо. А в основном нужен передний привод и только при плохой дороге нужно 4вд. Кроме того: крестовины кардана на стопорных кольцах и не подлежат замене, только с заменой кардана, а это очень дорого. А если полетят крестовины, в скором времениполетит и подвеска. Кроме того постоянно летит суппорт, то один, то второй.

The thing about these (and the Toyota equivalent) is the stop-start would cut in when you were slowing to the lights, and if you needed to get away in a hurry it would take time to start and get going, mostly due to the CVT. Felt quite dangerous. So I just left stop start off :)

high compression ratios from 660 cc car ? no man i don/t think so ..in my view the voice is coming from hydraulic lifters which makes noise on cold engine
