Sorry if my hands seemed shaky, I had AC blowing directly on my hands n it was making me shiver. CM support told me that the crazy amount of post travel and creaking was my fault because I was "clicking too hard" and that "everything was expected on an acceptable mouse." Unfortunate for me then, because I thought it was unacceptable. I hope my methods to fix the quality issues will help yall.
*UPDATE*
I've gotten a few comments saying that the zipties dont fit in the hole, despite buying the exact same ones I got. So I don't recommend buying them. I'll leave the link regardless if you wanna try.
Also, check this tutorial out: imgur.com/a/OG...
It covers the mousewheel rattle as well, and its compatible with basically any ziptie.

Wobble fix credit: • Mm710 second fix
I've gotten a few reports that the zipties I linked dont fit the mouse's hole anymore, So instead of doing that kind of fix, check out this tutorial: imgur.com/a/OGp2JQv
This tutorial also covers mousewheel rattle as well.
You sound exactly like Thereportoftheweek
Appreciate the link, and the vid, I messed around with different thickness zip ties and found the sweet spot for me. It's still no g303 click (for me the perfect mouse click), but damn it's so much better and the side wobble fix was a godsend, was my biggest gripe with this mouse.
Hey bro what size of the zip u use?
bro you're amaaaazing , im so intrassed wow im so happy cuz i did nfind a trik to fix the wobble ,thanks forn all bro you are really amazing bro :)
please i beg you to do a video for the new mod
Hey! Thank you so much for this video! Since I didn't have any Cable zippers that fit, I just put exactly 3 layers of duck tape around the area you described and it worked like a charm. Took a bit of testing to find out the exact amount of layers you need, but with exactly 3 it works like a charm. I put the duck tape around almost the entirety of the front area of the clicks btw, which removes the post travel of any area of the click. Upvote this comment please, so other people who don't have these cable ties or don't want to spend money on them can see. :)
could you explain me?
i trusted my dad to remove the feet with the heat gun while i go to the bathroom... ended up melting the whole mouse :/ will be doing this on my new copy i ordered tho :) great vid

Lul
The problem is ur too anxious and excited you can't even use the bathroom without something being done thats a life leson if u want something done right u gotta do it yourself
dude if you fix the issuses this mousse whill be the best light wheight mousse ever
@@Consistency00 what the fuck are you on
you should be hired by CM's mouse department. Why to return this mouse if problems are fixed?
Because he doesn't like it for one reason or another
Thanks alot for the tutorial, the click feels so much better.
That wiring part worked for me. My mouse was actually wobbling specially the left click one and it was creating double clicking issue somehow, but saved me. Thanks a lot
if you dont want it to double click then click the mouse normally because if you slap ur fingers on it it will double click or maybe triple click
Hey man. Thanks for the credit :) ❤
lol nice :)
Awesome! Going to do this and replace mains with Huano/Kailh switches
As soon as I tore my hyperglides off I realized I couldn't find my other ones
Pre heat it with hair dryer and use scalpel carefully to avoid ripping adhesive.
Gonna try 3d printing inserts instead of the zip ties
Any luck?
i've been thinking about doing a custom paint on my white MM710.. this disassemble was exactly what i was looking for..
Just fixed my 711 version, thank you very much!
did it last long?
@@SpesDesperatio yep, still works
@@kiji691 good to know, thank you :)
Thank u very much! my mouse feels awesome! i love the design and weight, hope CM improve their quality in next version!
The MM712 is on the way. Wireless! :)
Great fix. If zip ties are to small just heat them and make them larger - its a plastic. You might even use any other plastic with also heating to make the head and perfect fit for that hole.
how do you do that? I tried heating the zipties and all it made was a blob that was too big or too tall
im about to get this mouse and i was a bit worried about these issues so thanks very much
I'm just going to return my mouse. I'm glad that I saw this video. Mine suffers from the same issues. Sometimes the clicks won't register and in my opinion this is a design flaw. Great lightweight mouse but CM should consider doing some revising.
THANK YOU
I USED SOME PLASTIC TAPE FOR THE CABLE TIES AND THAT WORKED FINE TOO
(some uhmw tape, hard plastic,; so i can layer them more or less however i would like)
man is a genius
Awesome video, works super well. Make sure you have really tiny zip ties tho otherwise they will be too big and it won't work.
Thanks bro…I just fixed my mouse🙏
This mouse is so incredible. Customisable clicks. I just got one for 30pounds :-)
thanks for this video, super informative and valuable for anyone who owns this *near* perfect mouse. thanks
I think nail clipper is more acceptable than what the verge used in his video . hahah
Nice video btw
ive done it, it works really good thanks
genius my friend
Bro you get a sub for this awesome video. I been looking for a video who takes apart the mm710. I have the mm711 and I been wanting to shell swap! This is amazing!
That's a clever fix. I'm gonna try to do this on my glorious model D. It's basically the same damn design... If my memory serves me correctly.
What type of problem?
The newest batch (got mine Best Buy) has these issues resolved FYI!
It's luck. I talked to a CM employee and he stated there's only 2 batches: pre-releas review batch and post release batch. So it's just a matter of luck, or CM is lying lmao.
Kind Old Raven strange that Walmart and bestbuy got the mouse in October and they only sell glossy version. You cannot get the glossy anywhere but retail. I think CM is lying 100%
@@PixelGod240 Yeah or perhaps the employee I spoke to was misinformed. That wouldn't be the firs time ;p
mine sure doesn't
i pressed the right side of the mouse down and then the left and i fixed it 100% lmao
without doing any tweaks? that mean the QC is better now?
Trying this tomorrow, thanks!
How come you returning the mouse, was it cus it was bad or? Also any tips on straightening out the stock cable on the mouse?
That wobble fix did nothing for me. I actually glued a lilttle piece of really thin paper along the part that sticking out under the clicks surface cause thats where my wobble came from. Cool vid anyway, thumbs up
Thank you so much
THX YOU SO MUCH
it really works !! thanks!
I’m very fortunate, mine has zero issues.
David Logan new batch probably
Or he is so fascinated by the purchase, that he doesn't even see it
my ec2a also has this kind of post travel since day 1, it is so much that it feels like a 2 step click from camera shutter. How can i fix that? Some say i have to open it up and tighten the switch screwes but i could not find any teardowns that show it nicely :(
nice work bro
AWESOME fix man.
This seems pretty cool, i wanna ask you, can you solve the annoying noise of the scroll wheel
Gooood brow thks
Coolermaster's R&D team should have spent a little more work on build quality and just charged an extra $10 for it. I would rather have a sturdy $60 mouse than an iffy $50 mouse.
The es mm711 is exactly what you describe $60 better build quality and also has rgb. It is 7-10 gram heavier tho
@@lucianocipriano3603 same quality
@@lucianocipriano3603 weight ruins the whole point :\
i totally fail getting the two outer clips off. no matter how i push they do not move and i am heavily bending the outer shell already. I feel i would break the whole thing before i get the clip movng.
Um use a screwdriver and push on the right direction
My matte finish is turning glossy is it possible to turn it back to matte.
My problem isn’t wobble my problem is that cat hair gets in the mouse. But I don’t have extra mouse feet
Great fix! do you know how to fix the scroll wheel wobble on this mouse? Mine is bad, not so bad about M1 and M2 tho, but the scrollwheel is bad and annoying when scrolling up and down. I guess it just has too much tolerance so, something like putting some tiny tape in the bar that holds the wheel could do the job but I'm not that skilled with electronics.
just buy another mouse cuz this one has so many issues
heyo is there a chance u can look into the gwolves hati 3360 mice and do a Click Wobble & post travel fix video on it many people have the same problem and it would really help
big brain
Anything else than zipties? They cost 16$ on the UK amazon lol
Try going to your local dollar store. They usually have some for a very reasonable price (at least where I live)
these zip ties must have been changed or something, the head on them is smaller now. I bought the exact kind as shown in the video and they wont fit into the slots at all, they just fall through.
Bummer damn it.
Yup same problem here, just found that out myself lol. Did you find a fix?
Heat them and make them larger, after all its a plastic :)
QCP damn you’re right
Unrelated but how did that AMP mat age? I've seen people say it doesn't last long. Kinda defeats the point of it.
Головки от стяжек хорошо бы было клеем промазать, да и они будут трение о стенки дополнительное создавать.
Nice!
Sucks I have to do this to mine. I could just get a return but i like having to give a chance sometimes lol
If anyone recently bought a mm710 or mm711 (me) most of the problems should be fixed
yes
Are the issues all fixed now?
Lukas W yes
Lukas W aside from a little but very little mouse wubble yeah
@@maxh6979 on mouse 1 and 2? They have zip tie mods for that, no? Considering it's like $30 rn and comparable to industry leading mice in weight, I'd say it's worth modding
What torque are you using?
is it possible to make this mouse silent?
i have an issue with my mm710 i got an mp510 mousepad and the sensor stops randomly when i flick it jitters does anyone know how to fix this issue please ?
Yeah, so basically you need to buy a new...
Mousepad
i love you
woop
ah shit, i need to disassemble my mm710 cause i think i have a issue with the cable, it keeps getting randomly disconnected. But i already changed the feet a few months ago sfdgfdjgkdfjgjkdhgkjdhfgkjh
whoop
how the hell am i ment to get the botem of mate
damn bro your hand is shaking
Unfortunately my mouse was a gift so I have no spare feet.. DANGIT
No need for that fix if u got
1. mm711
2. new batch of mm710
My MM711 has some post travel and wobble on LMB
wait there's spare feet in the box!? lmao fuck
return it for the rgb one bro
Ur defo 12
basically adding weight now to the mouse but great vid tho
mate mm711 is better right ?
depends on what you want from a mouse
No. MM711 is heavier.
Nice vid. But if you're trying to return it they can use this against you.
No they can't cuz he didn't show model number in the video, it was taped over.
Ur right!! Didn't notice that, good move.
@@EmilBBechGrip my boy smart
Just a cool thing I did... instead of using zip ties I used cardboard 😂
they rly cant just fix it in manufacturing
The new models does not have these problems anymore. I have 3 of them.
@@Terra101 good to know
feels bad you guys got shit copies i got no problems on mine lol
or just buy a gwolves hati
But this will make my mouse 54G. Thumbs down!
JK I am glad I found this video. I am gonna try it soon.
The glossy one from Bestbuy is better but still has the same issue. I have both.
That one gram diff is not work doing all this suffed stuff
Scuffed*
Shacky hands
If you need to do all this sh1t on a brand new mouse, it means it's a bad product, just don't buy it, period.
nothing else like this on the market, though. it sucks and shouldn't have these problems in the first place, sure, but it's not like it's difficult to fix, and the mouse is cheap as shit.
Great work first of all, but the reason you are doing this is what makes me so mad. God damn money and politics, power of advertisement etc. Everyone praising this mouse as top tear level, the MM711 even more....because it is Cooler Master. So I bought a MM711 and will return it for something I know is real quality which is the Roccat Kone Pure Ultra. I had the original Kone Pure Ultra, and not a single part on the MM711 is even close quality wise to the Roccat. Yet everyone is praising MM710/711 and you barely hear anything about the Roccat Kone Pure Ultra.
